This year's #10 pick and Udoka for Brunson and a future first-round pick from New York. Objectively speaking, this seems fair.
I’m glad I could bring some sunshine into your sad, pathetic life. I will continue on my mission to entertain the illiterate masses.
Lighten up. I was just kidding. You certainly not the only one that disagrees with my posts. Although, I’m one of the few prolific posters that has more likes than posts. That ratio will probably get worse with my get rid of FVV posts and “fools gold” 2nd seed posts, but I will power on and try to educate the masses.
Y’all don’t forget this is a Rockets fan forum. We are all fans of the same team and goal. Some of us have different opinions about the best path forward to achieve that goal, but we are all looking for the same thing. No need to denigrate and insult your fellow fans. We have more in common than we disagree on. Let’s not turn the GARM into the D&D, or worse a reflection of the current political discourse in this country. Keep it civil. And remember, if we need to remember what we all agree on — Pippen was a b****.
@bendubose Told firmly that in addition to Houston denying the request, Udoka himself also lacked interest. He’s in it for the long haul, here. Why do the Knicks feel entitled to go after a bunch of coaches already under contract with other teams?
I wouldn’t worry about the ratio much. There are many posters here that posted well over a decade when liking a post was not an option. Which would obviously skew anyone that made posts that you could not click like on.
I really don’t care. I just like sharing my opinion. I try to stay civil for the most part and was just joking around with the illiterate masses stuff. Sometimes, obvious hypocrites (DD) get on my nerves and I lose it a bit, but I most enjoy respectful debates about the team that I have been a fan of for 40 years. Right now I am so disgusted with my team bidding against itself to overpay a pg who I regard as one of the primary reasons we have such a pitiful offense and is holding back our potential superstar, that I am more quick to get irritated at my fellow fans.
They can be interested all they want they’re not getting him. They better settle for Mike Malone and call it a day or look elsewhere
I think you are a super quality poster. I would comment though that it seems that you are beginning to go the way of dumb Dakota and Bobby THE great where it’s just too negative. Focus on bringing actual content and context, which you often do.
I'm sure that I'm in the minority, but I would've asked Udoka if he was interested in hearing their pitch, and if he was interested in hearing what they say, I would've definitely of given permission for a parley! Both the Rockets and Udoka know that it's not personal, it's business! Let's see where this leads us to.... Think about it since the 2019'-2020' season (Bubble Season) 27 out of the 30 coaches have been fired! The three left are Spoelstra, Kerr and Popovich and Pop's didn't get fired but is no longer coaching! In other words... There is a very high probability that Udoka won't be here in another five years anyway... https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...d-it-isnt-solving-problems-for-former-champs/ ....... ....... .......
I think this is the correct take. Ime is up for an extension next summer, and needs to create as much leverage and the possibility of leaving so he can get his bag regardless of how the team does next year. From New York's side, it's a basic fact in the league that coach turnover is way up. Outside of future HOFers like Pop/Spo/Kerr, it's pretty likely that most coaches are going to lose their team sometime during their second contract, or get scapegoated when the team stagnates. Kidd/Udoka/Finch/Nurse might not be available right now, but it's not hard to envision scenarios where they are let go by next summer due to playoff collapses, superstar disagreements, and meddling ownership. And by publicly leaking that you're interested lets the narrative build throughout the season.
