If the 10th, Jalen and salary filler got us a more consistent 2 guard, that would be a great offseason. QUOTE="cml750, post: 15765706, member: 4769"]Unless Giannis is cheap I do not see the Rockets giving up what it would take to get him. I also doubt a KD deal gets done. I think there is a chance the 10th pick, Jalen, plus any salary filler get sent out for a more consistent 2 guard which is our main issue.. Reed will solve our Fred playing 40+ minutes per game issue by the end of next season. Our two young studs, Alpi & Amen, will both have great offseasons. Both will come back better shooters.

I like the optimism. What has been an indicator to you that Reed will get more of FVV’s minutes? What is the indicator you see that Ime and Stone don’t want Jalen back? I do think Sengun and Amen come back with improved shots.
Steven resigned Fred extended Neither Tari or Bari extended Both Jalen and Amen show minimal improvement Both Reed and Sengun show substantial improvement Cam, Bari, and Tari are all unhappy with their minutes and shots Rockets playoff seed is between 5 and 8 Rockets lose in the 1st round again Ime fired Major changes next summer
I agree this as a pretty likely outcome, except the Ime getting fired. I think it is quite possible they extend him this off-season. The FO and fans are just giddy with the 2nd seed, no matter the context.
1. Rockets pay FVV 3 years 87 million. An overpay but a team option on each year. It is explained to FVV that minutes will go down and that starting us no guarantee. FVV overall performs better in 2025-2026. Shoots more off ball. 3P% goes up. 2.Adams is re-signed for 3 years 48 million. 3. Green/Landale/Brooks/Holiday/2027 Suns pick lands Durant in Houston. 4. Kasparas is drafted at #10. 5. Amen, Smith, Reed, Whitmore all improve. Sengun/Adams Smith/Eason Durant/Cam Amen/Reed FVV/Reed Kasparas maybe earns minutes. We go to WCF next year.
Wow. We have our first confirmed optimist. I used to be called an irrational optimist during the Silas years. Now I’m considered an old get of my lawn kind of guy. In reality, I think we land somewhere in the middle after next season after unsuccessfully running it back next year. Stone just doesn’t seem like he has the stomach for making big moves. Hope I’m wrong.
I think they Stone make some tweaks. 1) Brooks and #10 for Cam Johnson and #19 Or 2) KD for #10, FVV and Jock Landale
No 2 would not be a tweek. It would be a major move which I support whole heartedly. No 1 doesn’t make any sense, so he probably does it.
When we extend FVV, I’m going to start drinking at 7 am. Who am I kidding, if we trade him I’ll start drinking at 7 am as well.
Everyone got their head in the clouds dreaming of trades when we are about to have that FVV anchor on this team's cap for the next few years keeping it from happening
I think they mostly run it back. I doubt we see any big starter upgrades, they'll likely bring back the backcourt which sucks. I think it's more likely that we see consolidation at the forward spots and they may upgrade from there and the pick.
He’s a noted Amen hater/skeptic. The only dude on the entire board who doesn’t see it with Amen (which is wild and makes it easy to discount his takes).
Here we go: (try to keep up) 1) Houston in: Durant $54.7M x Suns in: Amen Thompson $9.6M / *VanVleet $44.8M / Suns pick(s) *(team option deadline date set for 6/29/25) ----- 2) Houston in: Cameron Johnson $20.5M / #19th pick x Brooklyn in: Jock Landale $8.0M / **Jabari Smith $12.3M / #10 pick (they think they can trade for Giannis) **(let Nets negotiate extension as we did with Harden when we traded for him a week before season) ----- 3) (Sign-n-Trade) Steven Adams Houston in: Dalton Knecht x Lakers in: Steven Adams ----- 4) sign Brook Lopez in free agency ----- Draft targets of mine with #19 pick: NBA tankathon.com has Egor Demin going around #18..........(PG/SG.....6'9") Danny Wolf going around #22..........(C.............. 6'11.75") Walter Clayton going around #25.....(PG............6'3") _________________________ Houston Roster (25/26) 1) Aaron Holiday...................Reed Sheppard / ?Egor Demin? or ?Walter Clayton? 2) Jalen Green......................Dillon Brooks / Dalton Knecht 3) Cameron Johnson............Cam Whitmore 4) K Durant............................Tari Eason 5) Sengun..............................Brook Lopez / N'Faly or Danny Wolf _____________ Drives 24/25 .......................drives.........FG%.......pts%........pass%........Ast% Cameron Johnson ..........7.0...........53.5........56.9..........43.8.........11.6 Durant..............10.5.........58.1........86.4..........25.3...........8.2 Jalen Green.....10.5.........46.7........62.8..........30.2...........5.7 Sengun.............7.7...........53.0........71.2..........25.4...........8.4 Aaron Holiday...2.7...........54.7........41.8.........53.9...........10.3 Catch-n-Shoot 3's (24/25) Durant.............45.6% Holiday............42.2% Jalen Green.....40.9% Dillon................40.9% Cam Johnson..40.3% Dalton Knecht...37.4% Brook Lopez......37.2% Reed Sheppard..35.2% Tari.....................35.3% Whitmore...........32.7% Sengun...............25.4% _____ Post Up ...................freq............PPP.........NBA percentile Sengun......20.3............1.05...............54.8 Dillon.............7.7...........1.08...............53.2 Brook Lopez..11.1.........0.97..............48.0 Durant.............8.1...........0.90.............43.7 _______ PnR Ball Handler (24/25) .......................freq............PPP........NBA percentile Jalen Green....42.8..........0.92..............67.4 Aaron Holiday...22.4........1.04..............88.8 Sengun..............3.5..........1.11..............95.2 Durant...............15.9.........0.92.............66.2 Cam Johnson...14.5.........0.91.............65.2 Knecht................8.4..........0.79.............33.8 ________ PnR Roll Man (24/25) ..........................freq............PPP.........NBA percentile Knecht................2.9............1.39...............92.9 Sengun..............18.2...........0.94...............29.3 Cam Johnson....1.5.............0.93..............26.9 Durant.................4.5.............1.18..............68.9 Brook Lopez.......24.2...........1.20..............72.6 ______ Durant (24/25 play types.........NBA percentile Isolations................93.0 Spot Up....................91.7 PnR ball handler.......66.2 PnR roll man.............68.9 Post Up.....................34.0 _____
