DOD Undersecretary just testified this morning that just the cost of federalizing and deploying the CA National Guard is $134 million, all to "protect" a couple of city blocks in a city that is over 300,000 acres and holds 4 million (greater area is 21.7 million acres and 13 million people). And still, Guard members are expected to sleep on floors.

Also, I don't think anyone should pay attention to folks who offer up takes on protests when they neither believe in nor care about the cause being protested. They've always been the same and always used the same rhetoric. My nephew finished up his Marine officers field training in Quantico. Slept in the field on a bed of leafs for a week. Eating MRE's.
On the bright side he is now at Naval training base Miramar in beautiful San Diego.
