Yes. I agreed at the time and stated so, but I’ve become more nervous with the talk about an FVV extension and it got me wondering if the whole “there was nothing available” was really true. I’m also concerned that the fact that they got the second seed has made them complacent just as it has with a lot of fans. Last year was great progress and confirmed that we have a really solid core of young players. We also have great trade assets to make a move now to better balance this team. Running it back and using the pick moves the needle in the wrong direction in my opinion. FVV starting and playing has the same dampening effect on Amen’s and Reed’s development as it did this past season. Adding another rookie at the 10th spot in this draft will have very little impact on our progression next year and gives us 1 less draft pick to entice a big move. My main theory is that we finally have our superstar and we should not waste another year “developing” him out of position and use our assets to build a team that compliments Amen’s talents.

Another aspect is what other teams may do. Dallas and SA with a little luck will be challenging us in the standings. GSW will be older, but had the best record in the league after acquiring Butler. The Lakers were the 3rd seed and will have Doncic for the full year. They won’t sit on their hands either. They will find a way to add a valuable piece to the puzzle. I’ve asked it before, but if we regress to a 4th or 5th seed and still lose out in first round, will this board still be preaching organic growth? Whether we blame it on FVV or Jalen or both, I think most everyone watching the Rockets recognizes our backcourt as sub-par. Jalen MIGHT improve. FVV is what he is. A super conservative guy that can’t execute in the lane, is subpar at assists, and is a sporadic 3 pt shooter. It’s time to take Ime’s crutch away and see if he can coach anything other than defense.

If Ralflel Stown thinks that continuity is going to beat what OKC has at the moment then he's a far bigger HOMER than I am!! To double down on our team as presently constructed is asinine, delusional and to a certain degree, idiotic!! It's was made abundantly clear all season (especially in the playoffs) that we need more scoring!!! I'm all for good/great defense IF, IF, IF our team outscores our opponent!! If he kick's the bucket down the road on our #10 pick and only extends FVV contract this offseason then I'll know he's only trying to extend his payckecks!!

The easiest and quickest way to go backwards in any sport is to stand still!! There is a saying that staying neutral (not moving) inevitably leads to regression!!

NO RISK, NO STORY, NO STORY, NO GLORY!!!

    Go Rockets!!!

Translation: We have many options to choose our own adventure this offseason.

I really just want to see either Fred or Dylan moved to the bench.

And his conservative approach got us a quality rebuild and a #2 seed last year, despite our roster's average age of about 14. :D
