Republicans raise the debt ceiling by 4 trillion while kicking millions off insurance

I work with the largest healthcare provider on the West coast as one of my clients and we just lost our contract because Doge cuts killed funding for cancer research.

So down the line you see the effects not just of losing cancer research (I dunno if you’ve lost someone to cancer but call me after you have if it happens and tell me if you still think it should be cut then) but also on the other industries who support the healthcare industry.

Doge did not cut the “waste” you think it did. We already had inspector generals doing a good job managing teams of investigators overseeing government entities along with DOJ employing thousands. We already had oversight for fraud and abuse. Doge was just an excuse to cut more money in places they THOUGHT the public wouldn’t see but in the end people will eventually notice billions being cut in things like cancer research while never being able to get to a trillion dollars saved for the things your party really cares about… which is tax break for billionaires like Elon and Trump.

 

Yes it is but yet they about to cut MC for over 1.5 Million it just doesn't make sense me.

Kaiser’s cancer research has nothing to do with the Trump admin’s NIH’s handling of Covid. A grant is given to this private company to outsource that research.

Given your logic solving or finding ways of treating cancer has to go forever because you believe conspiracy theories about … who exactly now?… (Trump was running the US govt so I I guess Trump…) created a virus in a lab in order to hurt Trump’s election?? You dont have to like this, but there are consequences for contributing to the Covid lie even if it hurts the people. Why? Because something like the Fauci/Covid lie can never happen again. Dr. Fauci worked for Donald Trump during Covid. What private research was Donald Trump's Covid Taskforce Spokesperson doing that has anything to do with Kaiser cancer research in 2025 that could save or lengthen the life of people you and I know that will develop cancer??

Because the chances that you or I will have a loved one suffer or die from cancer is like 99%. Tell me one good reason why whatever Trump's Covid Spokesperson was doing on Covid should impact the research that could save or lengthen the life of someone that you or I will know at some point in our lives???

BTW, I've read and used to sell supplemental health insurance Heart Attack/Cancer policies by telling people that they stood a 66% chance of them or one of their family members dying of heart attack/cancer. Probably even a greater chance since I was selling these policies in Golden Triangle Area.
