Already posted Sabonis playoff debut pages ago and I gave him a a pass on his first two efforts with OKC. It shows how some don't really know crap about basketball. Being able to draw fouls at an elite level, playing elite defense and create for others in the playoffs at this stage in his career is just downright special. The Trust Ime put on him with minutes and usage was one a 29 year old Sabonis wishes he'd have. Sucks I have to use Sabonis to prop up another player since I wanted the Rockets to draft Domantas. If Alpi was 29, I would understand the pearl clutching from some of you. Again, go back an look at career FG% from your favorite bigs thru their first 6 seasons and stop posting nonsense. Here is what will happen and we saw this the second half of the season and throughout the post season. Rockets will play more of The Fuhrer's style offense and Sengun will continue to excel at it. Keep practicing those dollar throws.
I don’t understand the wording on this. So did he work with the guy before our most recent season? If so, maybe he should get someone else to coach him.
Would love to see him shoot 30+% from 3 next year. Hopefully he rests and we dont get those weird back issues from last year.
I realize this is just a snippet of the workout, but I'd love to see him shoot 3's with a little more movement and see them work on his mid-range jumper. I'm not sure that running floater should be a mainstay of his repertoire.
what is the right way to improve overall shooting during these drills? should he start shooting from logo, then arc, then FT, then paint? or the other way around?
question is last off season didn't Alpi work out with Djordje again at least he and/or the Rockets realized their mistake and went back to Djordje again
That I don't know. It's implied in the tweet that he didn't train with him last season but only Alpi knows that.
So, I think the only logical conclusion is that the team the Rockets sent over last year ruined Alpi's touch.
He came back better in multiple areas, but shooting was not one of them. My guess is they literally worked on everything else and lack of shooting development held him back. I'm hoping he comes back stronger than ever on offense while retaining his gains he had in every other facet of the game.
Me Too!!! Even if he starts hitting his shots in the lane like the year before, he adds a great deal of offense to the team. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a big lose his touch around the basket like he did this past season. The good news is his defense was demonstrably better.
