Add Noa Essengue to your list. Houston should be excited to scoop him up if New Orleans, Brooklyn, and Toronto are willing to oblige. E's success in the German league playoffs may even make Maluach available at #10. That seemed impossible a few months ago.

With the front office we have, I can't see trading this pick.

I'm sticking with Kasparas Jakucionis as my choice if he's there at 10 - might even make a move up to get ahead of Brooklyn to get him.

This team needs someone who can break down a defense and get into the paint and cause problems for the defense.

That pick would probably upset the applecart a little bit. Not against it at all. I just wonder how stone and ime view things. Because you arent taking Jackucionis to be an off ball player and spot up shooter. He absolutely will need to be on ball initiating offense to reach his highest potential.

If they were to move up for him (or even select him at 10) thatd speak volumes.

I like the trade down with Brooklyn where we get C Johnson and draft Coward at 19.

I think you are too optimistic in regards to the Rockets PG situation. Amen and Reed are both still maybes as potential future PG. FVV just suffered a major decline and he may just be traded as salary filler in the offseason. Besides, if KJ ends up being good enough to be the Rockets full time PG, you can always move Amen to a forward position. I have my questions about Jackucionis, but having too many PGs on the roster is not one of them.

Genuinely curious... What part of what I posted leads you to believe that Im optimistic about the Rockets current pg situation and that you needed to lobby for adding Jackucionis?

I don't think it upsets the apple cart, it just plans for the time beyond Fred .... and puts some pressure on Jalen in the mean time and I think he would fit pretty well with Reed in the longer term, assuming he gets it together.

He brings something this roster definitely lacks .... rim pressure from the guard spots. Guard play has been the weak link since Harden put on the fat suit. Time to address that.

Last year a bulk of the offense ran through Jalen and Sengun. Next year I think most of us want to see Amen get more on ball opportunities and see him as the best young player. Amen leaping to the front of the line in itself upsets the applecart. In addition, Reed hopefully getting real opportunities.

Im not saying its a bad thing. Just saying some guys roles might change or become non-existent. Im all for it because I dont think Jalen or Sengun can be your top offensive players and Amen hasnt shown he can shoot and Reed (while i really like him) isnt a sure thing either.

If we keep the pick I can almost guarantee itll be Murray-Boyles. Another defensive forward that doesn't score well so we can add to that group even more.

I think he needs to play one more year in Europe, perhaps in a better league too.

Yeah but that one game in the regular season where he single handedly brings us back vs the Warriors is gonna hit like crack.

Last night I had a vision. Struck me like lightening. Trade up to get Tre. The future of the rockets looks like this:

    1)Reed
    2)Tre
    3)Amen/Tari/Cam?
    4)Bari/Tari
    5)Sengun

Look how much shooting complementing our two best players . The “New Core 7”

Noa is impacting games as the second-youngest player in this draft class (behind Cooper Flagg). His team may make the German league finals. Learning and growing in every game. He may not even be available at #10 as someone else may take the swing on the upside.

Just as long as it's anyone except San Antonio.

I haven’t seen any mock where he is drafted that high. He is very raw and needs a lot of work.

At this point, if the Rockets keep the pick, I like so many of the players in this draft I'm going to be pretty excited with whoever they choose.

Although probably a reach I still want Cedric Coward as our pick. FVV is our pg and Sheppard is already the apprentice.

Our no 1 need is consistent shooting from 3 pt that just Coward, and with his athleticism and 7'2 wingspan he can also be a decent defender. Dude is a 89% ft shooter just think how much that helps us. Coward can play 1-3 with his 6'6 frame, he has little to no passing and self creation skill but he can play off the ball and thats what he has done in college for 3 yrs. He can be the spacer and release guy alongside FVV, Reed, Amen or Green.

Other players like Jakucionis, Carter Bryant or even Demin may have higher upside, but the Rox already have a core 7 unless that dude is Flagg we dont need more upside guys. We need solid contributors so I want guys like Coward or Fleming.
