@edwardcI agree with you on a lot of things. More than you might think, but in my mind you can watch people burn down your city and destroy things they do not own, or you can have a force that deters this. Am I saying the guard being activated is legal or proper no. But what is the alternative. stand down and watch your city burn. I spent a lot of time last evening watching the stuff go down. I whole heartedly support anyone's right to protest Peacefully. But when you start burning cars and interfering with traffic you kind of lose my support. what if you were on that freeway trying to get to your mother who had just had a stroke or something and you were unable to see her last few minutes of her life because your road was blocked. It's extreme but more than plausible. I'm no lawyer so I have not a lot to say about those aspects, I'm just trying to make sense from a why do people act like this point of view.
