    Nearly a dozen immigration officers and eight deportees are sick and stranded in a metal shipping container in the searing-hot East African nation of Djibouti, where they face the constant threat of malaria and rocket attacks from nearby Yemen, according to a federal court filing.

    How they got there - after illegally being taken to South Sudan

    The eight migrants, who have been convicted of violent crimes, were put on a plane in Texas for deportation to the East African country of South Sudan as part of the Trump administration's effort to deport criminally convicted noncitizens to countries other than their own.

    After U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy blocked the administration's attempt to deport the group to South Sudan without giving them sufficient chance to contest their removal, the group disembarked in Djibouti, where they are currently on a military base.

    I feel ZERO sympathy for any of them.... that includes the ICE Officers that know damn well the Constitution is being violated.


    They can all die in the South Sudan, and I will feel nothing.

    Just following orders didn't work in Nuremberg - at this point when you get on the illegal rendition plane despite numerous court orders saying that what you are doing is illegal and a crime - you have inculpated yourself.

    Don't want to get stuck on overseas flights to illegal torture prisons? Quit your job, don't get on the plane

    All of this is true and because of my line of work and also by luck, I have had some recent interactions with on duty ICE officers and they were highly unprofessional, threatening and did not have any concerns over Constitutional protections or basic human rights. They were literally screaming at people demanding “papers” from various people…. It was literally like Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.

    The sooner Miller and Bannon wear out their welcome with Trump - the better.

    Completely "unprofessional", secret-police-style quasi-military mindsets and tactics seem to be a rampant problematic issue with law enforcement all across the USA.

    I don't know how we can walk this back.

    I read the other day that fatal police shootings have only gone UP in recent years, which is ****ing shameless.

    With leaders like Trump, that c*nt running homeland security, and his dingbat defense secretary, things will only get worse in the years to come.

    .. lol dont forget Trump's DOJ has eliminated consent decrees that police department made after they were found guilty by the DOJ. Trump is openly telling police stations that there will be no oversight or anyone telling them anything.

    I would've made expected a majority of Republicans to be shocked and pissed to no end by something like that at one point. I guess I was naive.
