I just don’t want us to go north of $25. Maybe Fred can get $27 on the open market…maybe, but not $30.

That's entirely unacceptable. I like Fred and want him back, but this team has to shoot better. He has to shoot better...

That was because Jalen Green was getting all the attention.....you know being blitzed
by the Warriors were o force the ball out of Jalen's hands.

When they didn't blitz Jalen, JG4 scorched them for 38 as he burned
Quintin Post playing drop coverage. They didn't do that again the
rest of the series. VanVleet was the benefactor of nobody guarding him.

Had Green been hurt VanVleet wouldn't have gotten squat.
In the regular season Jalen Green was 67.4 in NBA percentile
in PnR ball handler while VanVleet was 53.5 in NBA percentile.

In the playoffs (I posted about a week ago) Jalen Green was
80.0 in NBA percentile while VanVleet was 89.3 in NBA percentile.
*Things may have changed since as the playoffs have continued.

As bad as Jalen Green played in the playoffs he still scored well
In a play type that we often used. You are mistaken that Jalen Green
got better from VanVleet performance/attention....it was the opposite,
VanVleet got better from the attention/performance of Jalen Green
    in the playoffs.

Think Gobert’s extension is the closest comp and I think the AAV cut will be about 10% range. Get prepared mentally people.

After Booker’s 2 year 150 million offer, I am raising my guess from 40mm year to 45 mm per year. 4 years 180 million will be FVV’s offer with the fourth year a team option. Hate to say it, but that’s the going rate and a good value in today’s market as it is a minimal raise to the 44mm he currently makes.

why? Who would pay Fred $30 mil per on the market? I can’t name a team that would do that…because he’s not worth that. $30 mil a year for Fred would be an absolute disaster.

The anti-FVV crowds have a right to their opinions, but some of the low ball numbers being thrown around aren't realistic.

I can see him take a cut for a longer deal, but the floor likely won't go below $30m per range.

I doubt he take anything less than 30 million
    Honestly IMO I would doubt it is less than 35 . . . ..

Are the Jazz looking to rebuild or put a team around Markkanen? This seems to imply that they are interested in extending Collins rather than simply letting him pick up his option, which he would have undoubtedly done.
