Well, looks like the California National Guard is being activated and Stephen Miller posted this: If you didn't know, that word use is intentional. They think they can invoke the Insurrection Act, an 1807 law that allows the president to call in the military or national guard to address any insurrection that makes it difficult to enforce federal laws. It was amended after the Civil War in response to fears that Confederate states would still cause trouble. It was amended a second time shortly thereafter to include a section about enforcing the 14th Amendment in the face of Ku Klux Klan violence against Black Americans. Now, it will be used against people protesting their government's illegal and unconstitutional (regardless of what the SC says) actions. The President and his policies and his followers are not the state. The only thing this administration knows and wants is escalation in pursuit of violence and power. No accident this is happening in LA.

If you order the military to shoot their own people and they don't, your government is cooked. If they pivot, you're probably dead. If they follow orders, the rest of us are done for and so is the United States.

Trump pulls his cult followers deeper into losing their grip from reality by maliciously distorting reality and facts. That's not making anyone mentally healthy, that's for sure.
Also, a federalized national guard means they are now part of the regular military and cannot be deployed on US ground--unless the Insurrection Act is invoked.
