Rockets rent it out when it’s not in use by the team.

I highly doubt it means anything. you don't send an entire plane to have discussions with another front office. you do that over the phone. you send a plane when you're recruiting a free agent which can't be done at this time and cavs have none worthy of flying to. tillman making a pit stop somewhere, that's all it is

Pre draft workouts perhaps, some late picks are there I believe. Just a guess but who knows

That’s actually possible as a favor, if they were in the neighborhood.

Well, it's on the way back and should land at Hobby by around 8pm. Everyone go greet them (lol - please don't do this). Unless they're taking a huge Rockets contingent, I don't know if they need a 767 to travel.

The Astros are in Cleveland, they probably just rented the plane from the Rox.

Good point. I remember reading the Astros using the plane in the past.

    Damn, blowing up security :D

Don't end up on the news Clutchfans lol

I'm still guessing scouts and players for draft workouts to evaluate, but that is a lot of people if full, or it might be a handful using the whole plane. Not sure how many team planes they own as far as size.

Edit: The Astros idea seems to make the most sense perhaps.

lol. No security - you can track flights online. I know the Rockets also have at least one other small Gulfstream jet (or used to), and that one can't be tracked.

Theory #23: the pilot saw "Cleveland" on the screen and thought it was Cleveland TX so he landed

Upon further review, I just looked at the plane's past stops. It left Houston for Pittsburgh last Sunday. It was in Pittsburgh until early Friday morning (the Astros were in Pittsburgh Wed - Thu). Then it flew to Cleveland early Friday morning. The Astros are playing Cleveland Friday - Sunday. This pretty much matches the Astros schedule.

So - I'm going to agree with @OremLK that it was probably doing work for the Astros.
