I guess Altuve needed a rest day. Sure would like to see this lineup with Altuve at DH and Dubon back on the bench.
Honestly, replace Dubon with Caratini and this may be the best offensive lineup we can run out there. I really hope Altuve has something left in his bag of tricks and can still be a good hitter, but right now he isn't.
I am at a point where I put Walker in the 6 hole. I identify the 2 probable pitchers with the best swing and miss stuff in the upcoming week and sit him those games. Obviously its tough to do that until Yordan and/or Dezenzo get back, but let Shay get 2 additional starts to week. He's not going to show anything or adjust to MLB sitting on the bench.
What was Altuve thinking here? Did he just give up? At least give Parades a chance to run home and score. Side note: the third base coach Perezcheka sucks. Pena would have many less runs scored if he didn’t ignore him on the basepaths.
So you want Whitcomb to get a chance to show something by giving him two starts a week against the toughest pitchers? That’s not fair to him.
