I would still say that the Luka trade by Dallas is the worst in NBA history on the day of the trade. That history was quickly revised given that the NBA rigged the pick.

Well, Haliburton wasn't in great condition/health when the Olympics rolled around. And he's not a good defender. Since Kerr refused to run the Olympic team and get them out on the break and pressuring in the backcourt, the semi-hurt Haliburton looked like a shell of himself. Jason Tatum looked awful as well.

yes by one series I mean the east is guaranteed to send one team to the finals and t that point it is one series. East having one good team doesn’t mean much. So east winning the finals doesn’t mean east is not weaker.

Typically western teams have a harder way to the finals causing injuries or being worn out as well.

that’s why I suggested removing conferences at the playoffs. Let’s see how the east does when they draw warriors, clippers, wolves from the lower seeds in the first round.

Thunder had Sengun and Harden and traded them both away for peanuts on the dollar. Those trades are definitely up there.

Pacers wanted Haliburton. Not like the Kings had any choice.

I felt the Kings were robbed against the Lakers and should have won a Chip way before the Pacers do.

OKC in the finals is weird enough. Imagine OKC and Denver, or Miami and Boston. Finals have always been about Conferences in all sports. There's a reason why they've existed for decades to centuries because it makes sense. Having the All-Star game jumbled was weird enough and it won't be long before that goes back to the old format.

You either win or lose. There's no fairness in sports that gives every team a trophy on rotation, that's what makes finally winning one so enjoyable.

Posters always say draft the best player, not for need. Well, when you're trying to project guys 19, 20 yrs old, sometimes that's an issue. The Kings did just that and both players played the same exact position so they had to trade one. Franchise stability is the reason they traded Fox.
IMO, I thought the Rockets drafting Green over Mobley was a mistake. Even after that, I wanted Duren over Jabari, but that's just me. When they saw the maturity issue with Green, KPJ, and Christopher, it forced them to overpay FVV and push their timeline up.

Haliburton yes, but you could see with Fox what type of player he is and his prime came very soon.

Fox was a clutch secondary player, very fun player due to his speed and passion.

The amount of interest Cam Whitemore is getting around the league, it makes me feel like he could be the guy that was under valued and becomes a star elsewhere under the right conditions like Haliburton did. They usually trade the guy that didn't get the opportunity and the contract, in this case Cam.

Except maybe that interest is because of how cheap he might be to obtain. A whole bunch of teams are willing to take a flyer on someone his age with his physical gifts if the price is right, especially in this era of the 2nd Apron. Teams really need to hit on a young player or two to field a competitive roster.

I'm patient. I'd rather wait on all the young ones to fully develop. Draft Queen and let Jock go. Let this group simmer a bit longer (a year or 2) and then add seasoning as needed by trading excess for needed skills.

Same as Shai Gilgeous Alexander, Clippers traded him away and 1st Round Picks

Tyrese Halliburton and Shai Gilgeous Alexander both traded away and are in the NBA Finals.

We're talking about Sabonis like he's a nobody when in reality he's a Top 10 player in the league by my favorite publicly available stat, advanced BPM.

The Thunder trading away Harden was worse. If Sengun continues to develop giving him away for 1st rounders is also worse.

Yeah Sabonis finished 8th in MVP voting lol. It's the rest of that Sacremento roster than doesn't fit around him.
