Honestly I'm actually hopeful this time regarding lance. He's looked good , and a skipped start to do some side work or manage his comeback sounds so rational Of course the Astros and slow playing injuries are synonymous as t this point
Just glad they caught it. It is sad because Blanco had the raw stuff but not the results for years. The Astros two headed pitching monster got him and worked with him. It started translating into good performances in Spring Training and the Minors but the struggles at the big leagues conrinued until he put it all together at last year and then was starting to look good this year until he got hurt. I hope he comes back and pitches well enough to get enough money to support himself long term. At least Lance has a lot of money.
I don’t watch baseball all year. I usually keep up with the team through box scores and reading here. However, I’ve started watching most of the games earlier this year. Some basic fan observations, I don’t necessarily know that they’re accurate. 1. I have a very good feeling about Melton and Smith they just looked the part. 2. Paredes is great, better than Breggy. 3. Need to trade for a pitcher at deadline, using the young guy seems fine until then, as long as we continue to win. 4. I thought Caratini, Pena, Myers were average to ass. They seem average to great this year. 5. Best bullpen in league. Even the fourth and fifth guys are studs. 6. Seems like it maybe worth it with this team to take a chance at acquiring a player or two and making a run in the playoffs this year.
Miguel Ullola has nothing left to prove in AAA. Great stuff, misses bats and is leaving AAA batters looking completely clueless. I would DFA Gusto and let your younger version of Christian Javier get some big league run.
