Yeah Ivey is low key a sleeper coach. He did an amazing job with the South Sudan team in the olympics. They were actually holding their own versus the stacked team USA lineup

It was criminal for Ime not to play him when the Rockets needed offense and someone who wasn’t playing with jitters.

 

Definitely should have used him during the playoffs, even if for 5 minutes.

 

Im for it. He likes it here. He is a good voice for the youth. I have never heard anything negative about him. Solid player who has more upside for his knowledge and is still able to get buckets. If it doesn't hurt the ability to pay others then im fine with him being a Rocket until he retires.

Yes and I absolutely hate coaches who stay stubborn for the sake of it. Which is why I can never trust Ime. Don’t understand why coaches don’t get way more flack for those type of asinine decisions. We needed his shooting when nobody could hit ****ing ****. It’s not just his 3pt shooting, he can post up and get those midrange shots perpendicular to the basket as well as at a 45 degree angle (turnarounds too). Athletic as well so some dunks where others were scared to go at Draymond!

I would much rather have guys like him and Tate filling the 11th/12th spots on the roster than rando G league scrub.

Yes you can renounce him but you lose all Bird Rights. You could then later resign him using cap space or an exceptions.

We won't have cap space so we'd have to use sn exception to sign him.
