GOATuve hates Trump although Trump is the background image on his desktop and his keyboard is all sticky.

BULLSHIT, you have a safe and free country you live in, you have a fire department, you have a police force, you have a military, you have a government, you have all the benefits that the USA entitles you too.

And you are not footing any bill, you are paying your fair share, and you are free to move to another country if this is so bad for you.

Police and Fire are local, not federal, so my federal income taxes don't pay for those. The military is much too big and expensive, and most benefits provided by the federal government either don't come my way, or are things I would happily forego. As for moving to another country, most of them charge as much or more than this one.

This is a clear debate tactic to soften you up, and give him benefit of the doubt on positions that are unearned. He's a troll, and it's obvious. Everything he's doing here is to get you to bite onto an argument that he can then use to "own a lib."

If I lived in the Central Texas area. Went onto Rockets, and Mavs forums to talk about how terrible those two teams were nonstop, and I was at my peak exuberance when Wemby was drafted by the Spurs, and came here to rub it in the face of Rockets fans.... Do I have any leg to stand on when I claim to NOT be a Spurs fan just because I technically am not a season ticket holder??

That's the kind of logic that Goat is trying to sell us when he does these troll posts.

Also there's no bigger tell that you are a Trump cultist than when you cry and whine about being "judged" by big bad liberals on the internet.

Reminds me of an observation from a Soviet history professor or mine decades ago. He was mulling this idea and wasn't sure he was ready to sign on. But, he observed, world-wide: liberals believe people are fundamentally good and govern accordingly while conservatives believe people are fundamentally evil and govern accordingly. I'm also not sure I buy it -- I'm a liberal that believes people are fundamentally evil -- but it is an interesting lens to look at society through.

    That lens echoes this sentiment:
You kidding me? Our grandchildren foot the bill, not anyone in this thread. Have you not been listening to HTM??? :)

I think it's more accurate to say that Liberals would rather feed 100 people for free to make sure no one starves and Conservatives would rather everyone starve to make sure that the 10 sucky people out of those 100 don't get any more than they deserve.

I can try and summarize my thoughts in a few sentences
    DEMS. Want to help
In a very simplistic way, I think you nailed it.

To add on. My own thoughts here, the self-imposed identity of the Dem family is help all of those around you. Problem is you can't help or please everyone.
Spreading the net so far creates holes in the netting.

From where I see it, most Republicans believe in natural selection. The strong have made their way and those that have not, are the bottom of the food chain and are fodder and anchors. They do not like to give their money to those they perceive as not trying as hard.

Although I grew up in a Republican house, my parents were kind of the opposite of this. Always helping to do what they could for others in their community regardless of ethnicity. The caveat is everyone in the community was a lot like them, so it was kind of easy.
Great and giving people, although it took them a while to accept the fact that my son is gay.

That's a huge side track from the most important point - bringing back up this thread with a BS-level 10 article

(fluoride everywhere - good or bad... absolutely has merit )

Almost 3 years later... I have slightly changed my mind. There is no pure liberal nor pure conservative.

Today's GOP in power isn't conservative (or liberal). But they sure love to play one against the other.

Brother I’ve been in the D&D for over a decade, I don’t mind side tracking for something I feel is worthy of discussion.

If you must, report it to a mod

Nobody cares. It's sad you spent that much time typing out something nobody will read. You know absolutely nothing about me. You just don't like what I type and it hurts your feelings. The fact that another lonely person in @Andre0087 shares your views gives me hope for you both. Maybe you two can forge a "friendship "
