Eh, NBA ended on May 4 for me. Astros are .5 up on the AL West. (and may still be tonight after their L). Football isn't too far away. Best time of the year is right around the corner.
Needing Seattle to lose wasn't the ideal way to maintain first place, but Astros still lead. A win tomorrow will be Houston's first road series win since the first road series (MINN). Let's get it. .
Gotta win with Valdez. Baltimore already did us a favor twice, huge bonus. Seattle, having played a decidedly easier schedule than us thus far, is in a bit of trouble.
Man, that was a snoozer.............it pisses me off when we follow up an absolute great game with a dud, just shows that pitching will take us to the promise land so now go get us a quality SP...............AAA guys who are not ready or I hate to say it, just not good enough are not gonna cut it. We are 60+ games in and man, I don't know if Walker is going to turn it around, great defense and every once in a while he hits but overall, this has not been good. What is it with first base and older players.....ughhhhh Moving Pena to lead off is the best move Joe has done in 2 years
Got to move Christian Walker down in the lineup. That might just be the thing that gets him going. Do we even scout the opposing pitcher?
I was thinking playing Dubon more lately is smart as well. It is really depressing that Dubon is one of the best 9.
Since May 1, Doobie has a 120 wRC+ (4th on the team). Interestingly, the only player with a wRC+ <100 since May 1 is Walker (min 50pa).
Yuli convinced Crane it was a good idea to invest in bat-first guys in their mid 30's. It's generally not.
Here's to a good Framber outing today and an Astros win. Rather zero runs be scored by us on a Gusto start than Framber.
