Hasn't been a thread yet, so I thought I'd start one. Noon KHOU (CBS) A win by the Texans coupled with a win by Kansas City means that we'll be in a tie for first place!!! Texans 17 Jags 9
The Texans played the Jaguars closer then either of the other division opponents during the first two years. The series is at 2-2, so the Texans have a good shot at beating them, even though they are much improved. The Texans are also, so it should be a good one. The Texans have had plenty of rest with the bye week, so they should come prepared. It'd be embarassing if it's a lopsided loss after the extra time to scout the Jaguars. Don't think that'll happen, though. GO TEXANS!
This will be more of a shootout than people think... Texans 31 Jags 24 Carr is healthy and throws for 300+/2 tds/1 rushing td Domanick is also healthy and gets his 1st 100 yd rushing day AJ is the man, period. 100+/1 td. Leftwich will have a career day (350+/3td's) but it won't be enough. GO TEXANS!!!!!
The Jags are 5-2. The Texans are 3-3. A win would still put the Texans half a game back, though same number of losses. Hope they win, I think I am going to the game. Jacksonville has been the luckiest team in the league so far, just finally having a good all around game last week. That said, luck means something, and you generally can't be lucky if you are not good anyway.
Texans need some turnovers ala the Raiders and Titans game. While I believe the offense is capable the defense needs to step up and provide a big play or two to ensure a victory. And can somebody please locate DD's pulse?!? Texans 24 Jags 17
Oops...I thought they'd had their bye week already. That's what happens when you don't have any Jags on your fantasy teams.
No official thread? Castor = slacker. Texans - 17 Jaguars - 14 Carr throws for 1 TD and 1 INT. Andre Johnson is held to less than 80 yards receiving. DD rushes for only 60 yards and a TD. Corey Bradford accounts for the lone aerial TD (on a 30+ yard catch). The defense shuts down Leftwich, but Fred Taylor has his first really good game of the season and accounts for both touchdowns.
I actually like our chances..don't get me wrong, the Jags are for real, but it's always competitive and BL is not 100% healthy... Texans: 24 Jags: 21 Go Texans!!!
Texans 23 Jags 17 Carr 250+ passing 1td Johnson 7rec 85yds Armstrong 4rec 35yds 1td Davis 22att 63yds 1 fumble (in the red zone) Leftwhich 220+yds 2Int Taylor 25att 120yds 2td Smith 6rec 90yds
Texans 26 Jags 24 (another thriller) Er, what happens to the Jags??? Texans Win + Colts Loss = Jags, then Texans in AFC south (www.nfl.com/standings) GO TEXANS!!!!! <- battle red, leroy
24 - 14 Texans Houston has had 2 weeks to prepare and the Jags are coming off a BIG win over Indy and hopefully have a letdown here...
I love our chances. Hopefully Jaime Sharper can get our defense ready to stop the run and short passing. Don't let BL get too much time in the pocket. He's too dangerous. Bring the pass rush on today guys!!!! We win. 21-17. We'll prove we aren't "too soft" like the Indy Colts! hahaha
