One of worst thing this administration is doing to this country is cutting scientific research and pushing away foreign students. For decades, the US has enjoyed getting the best and the brightest to come here for their PhD and post docs. Very often the best of them would stay, creating scientific breakthroughs, jobs, and prosperity. Other countries would spend 2 decades cultivating their best young minds to just lose them to the US. There is a worldwide brain drain INTO the US. Even those who didn't stay would go back to their home country, bringing American ideals and positive sentiment towards the US. This administration is doing their best to undo that. Cutting funding to scientific research and fomenting anti immigrant sentiment will cause untold long lasting damage.

I agree and this will have long lasting consequences, we should be recruiting the best and the brightest and welcoming these kids. The cutting of scientific research just makes ZERO sense, we dont want to find a cure for cancer?? WTF
