Would cost fewer FRPs to just not exercise team option on FVV so that the Rockets aren't buying cap space/exceptions, and send Jalen to the Suns instead of sending Brooklyn a couple of FRPs to take Jalen's salary. Granted, the Rockets would have early Bird rights on FVV and might re-sign him which would defeat the whole purpose of constructing trades with FVV (i.e. people don't like FVV and will concoct complicated trade proposals that only work for other teams if they get more FRPs than simpler trades without FVV).

I think they know better. (the Suns) It's just fans and talking heads who keep coming back to this idea of them getting their picks back - from 3 different teams - so they can tank and it's simply not realistic. This situation is not like the Nets where the Rockets alone held their picks - and still own the 27 swap. That's a big part of why they want to hang onto Booker. They know without that guy they go from a 36 win team to a </=20 win team. They dug themselves into a deep hole building that roster and it blew up in their faces. That's the risk ....

Starting 5: Amen, Jalen, Brooks, KD, Giannis Bench: Holiday, Cam, Tari, Unc, vet min backup center If team fails to win anything in a couple seasons, we either retool after KD retires and retool around a prime Amen.

I like the idea of Cam Johnson as a rotational player with KD. It might seem redundant but it could make more sense after seeing what a KD trade would do to the roster. It could be a nice option for keeping KD fresh for the playoffs.

I wonder if there is any way to pry Trey Murphy away from New Orleans. Would Jalen + a protected pick get it done? Tari + #10? Elite shooting, elite length, decent athleticism on a very fair long term deal. Him and Bari spacing out for Amen drives would be amazing.
Could rockets trade FVV if option is exercised then the suns buy him out before the end of the season and us resign him still?
