Jumping to a hate crime based on a biased witness statement like social media wants to believe is a big leap. The husband's statement has many misleading claims like the neighbor caused the arson, which is false, Joss caused it, and that they were harassed by neighbors but omits Joss's erratic behavior towards them. We need more third party statements to believe this is more than a neighbor feud.

I think in Murphy's case, she was hopped up on drugs, too. In her husband's case, he had health problems to begin with and had just had a heart attack, as well.

Apparently there are a lot of holes in the story. Will wait for the full investigation

Owning an RV park in the Hill Country is a license to print money. It's just an eyesore that all the locals hate.

    "Jo-hn Redcorn..."
    "Pe-heggy Hill..."
This made me laugh for years.

Didn't realize he was also the guy in Parks and Rec until his death.
    "Is that a bolo tie?:
"Why, yes it is. My son sells them on Etsy. He is a huge disappointment."
Great timing and delivery. Was a very odd and funny character.

Mentioned it in the King of Hill thread… but I went to an event last Friday that had a panel with Mike Judge and some of the cast. We were waiting outside to get in and Joss crashed the event. He was intoxicated on something and ranting a bit at everyone waiting outside but I didn’t catch what he was saying. Then once the panel got started, he interrupted the panel and went on a rant about his house being burned down because he was gay. He obviously didn’t seem very well and very sad to hear the news he was shot.

I guess my approach to self-defense using fame wouldn't have worked in this situation:

"Don't shoot! I'm a voice actor on 'King of the Hill' and they need me to continue the show!"

This appears to be a neighbor who hated his gay neighbors. But, maybe we'll find out more if the interrogation hits YouTube...which they seemingly end up there and I love watching murderers talk their way into a prison cell without lawyering up. As the detectives like to say, "We're giving you this opportunity to tell us what happened so we can help you. But, if you lawyer up, then the conversation ends and we will tell the court you didn't cooperate with the investigation. Now, do you still want a lawyer?" Uhhh.
