For me it would be Giannis easily, I don’t see the value of KD to be honest, even at a lower price. And I’d love to see KD in Denver, reunited with Westbrook, now that’s get your popcorn ready.
Come on, Luka to LA is not a bargain. It's a robbery. That's not a reasonable expectation. An identical situation is Kyrie to Dallas. You wouldn't do it for the same price Kyrie went to Dallas when he had 1 year remaining on his deal? Expiring contracts, 1 unprotected pick and two 2nd round picks? Keep in mind that unprotected pick was the 2029 Dallas pick with Luka still on the roster i.e. at the time the team was seen as having almost no chance of winning less than half their games in 2029. FVV + Landale #10 pick OR a future unprotected Rockets pick 3 x 2nd rounders You really wouldn't do that for player X who's a 2-time champion, arguably the best floor spacer in NBA history, 7'5 wingspan, passable defender and an efficient 25ppg scorer for 2-3 years? Who's game is perfectly suited for playoff basketball while our players are exactly 2-3 years from their prime? I find it hard to believe the team will turn that down.
This thread is basically asking if you like big d!ck or small. From the looks of this poll, it ain't all that bad to have a small package like KD has
Neither, but if they are dead set on doing one of these deals, I prefer to get KD while holding onto as many assets as we can.
give up the Booker hopes. I think the Rockets should probably give Phoenix back some draft equity and just settle on Durant because I do think Devin is there to stay and the short doesn't seem to be the right gamble long term.
Phoenix Spartans want that 10th pick (or lottery) to draft Michigan State Spartan Jase Richardson Michigan State Owner ✓ GM ✓ Coach ✓
So what we're saying is, yes to KD because of how funny it'll be seeing him argue with all of us nutjobs? Lets do it, I've totally changed my mind now.
I don't like either of these trades. Getting KD will likely involve giving up Green.. and even though I criticize Green a lot when he plays poorly, trading him for 1 year of KD would be a mistake. Getting Giannis would likely involve trading Sengun... and basically all of our picks... We'd be in win-now mode but I don't know if the team's that's left is even enough to beat the Thunder in a 7 game series. I still think we should be tampering as much as possible to try to convince Booker to ask out of the Suns or try to poach Ja Morant (who grew up a Rockets fan).
Sounds risky that for DD, I've seen how good some of his seats are, he could get too sassy (definitely would) and get cold cocked by the lankiest sucker punch in history lol.
Trey - We can't do more than this year's pick and Cam for Durant. Like @BMoney said... If PHX wants to continue down this myopic path, we just wait until the deadline when the Suns are cratering, and scoop Book up for less. The Suns have no outs and those picks are gold. We have ALL the leverage. If not, we wait and threaten to move them somewhere else or do it for the right target.(or hang onto them)
