I'm guessing he will end up with about 2800 hits and 375 steals. I can see him getting to the 300 home runs. That's the most likely to happen in my opinion.
I feel pretty confident that Altuve will be the only player in MLB history with at least 2800 hits, 350 SB, and 300 HR. Pretty amazing for a guy who is 5’6”.

six years to get 911 hits and get a combined WAR of 4.6 yearly average of.77 In the previous 14 season he amassed a WAR of 60.80 for a yearly average of 4.34. Yeah he hung on for a few years too long, at least…. But he hot his 3,000 hits which is what he stayed for… Let’s at least be thankful he didn’t come back for season 21 to try and get to 300 HR’s. He finished his career 9 shy of 300…. 291 Astros legend, but he was a shell of his former all-star self.
Biggio’s 2006 (age 40) season was weird, he was basically the same player, just a step slower. K rate and walk rate and power numbers were all in line with his career, but SB and BABIP were down dramatically. Just that one aspect of his game made a huge difference in his production, taking him from a good player to a bad player. His last season in 2007 he was horrible and a shell of himself. He retired at the right time imho, even without considering that he was going for 3000. It really is a shame he couldn’t have hit 9 more HR that last year to get to 300. My guess without looking it up is that he’s the only player EVER with at least 290 HR, 3000 hits, and 400 SB.
Wonder if that Biggie narrative would have been different if extreme load management wete s thing back then. Just went and looked and in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 his first half OPS was about 100 points higher than his second half for each year. As a 40 year old, he had a 117 ops+ in 1st half to a 76 ops+ in 2nd half

He was just dogcrap terrible the last 6? years of his career...02-07ish? Whether I ever played ball or not has no bearing on that fact.
No, it just gives extra depth of understanding why players play until they can’t anymore. But I’m aware that stats were a factor, mainly just playing devils advocate because I’m bored.
Ehhh He got 65 hits in 274 at bats the second half in 2005 for a .237 batting average. What if he had played 6 less games that second half, got 250 at bats, which allowed him to hit .288 like he did the first half. He would have had 72 hits. I'm not saying it's a definite. Just interesting to think his desire to play so much to get to the milestone might have ultimately been counter productive in reality.
