For what it's worth, I don't think the Rockets would sign him. He's not great defensively and he has a weight problem. I'm not sure he's a fit for Udoka, but damn he would be fun to watch.
Why not? 1. He's a FA. 2. He's cheap. As long as he plays well against Chet, his contract has a positive value. 3. He won't be worse than Landale. 4. He's a career .333 3P shooter, which is only .09 lower than the former #2 pick we have. 5. More importantly, he can compete with Zion for the most obese player award. That's being said, with Uncle Jeff rolling back his clock, there won't be any minute for him.

On a side note. When Ja got his recent suspension, Grizz filed for a distress exception, where they signed Bizmack. Bizmack ended up playing solid defense in the Sengun match ups. Now we know, he was fighting for a roster spot. Ja is returning tomorrow, a roster spot had to get open, so they waived Lofton Jr. Bizmack basically replaced Lofton. Lofton is reportedly not good on defense, possible offensive potential. Grizz may not miss his service, but there is slight fear another team able to unlock him. Our guys last year were labeled bad defenders but under the right system, we see that could be improved. The weight is a thing, as people could drive by him more easily. There's reports he lost 20 lbs. Stone is holding to some players because of their movable contracts. Not sure if Lofton will disrupt some of that optionality, he makes so little. I'm kinda neutral so far, if we get him, I wouldn't hate the decision.
Would sign him to replace Landale… he can give us some good minutes between Alpi and (Adams?? Lopez??)
