With the latest news of PHX lowering their demands for Durant and wanting ALL their draft capital back, starting with #10....
Contrary to the posturing, it appears both KD AND Book ARE indeed in play.
    Let's make it happen.

    So you're thinking something like...

    Step #1: Renounce Tate

    Trade #1: HOU - PHX
PHX: FVV (HOU) + #10 (via HOU) + protected HOU 2028 FRP (top 5 protected)
    Renounce some of their contracts

    HOU: KD (PHX)

That gets PHX below 2nd apron

    Trade #2: HOU - PHX
PHX: Green (HOU) + Brooks (HOU) + 2027 PHX FRP + 2029 PHX / DAL FRP

HOU: Booker (PHX) + Ryan Dunn (PHX)

    Step #4: Re-sign Adams for 2 years, $28M

    Rockets Roster

    Booker - R33D
    Amen - Cam
    KD - Dunn
    Bari - Tari
    Alpi - Adams

    Still have TPE IIRC

Honestly can't say I hate it. I like the chances of that lineup, even more so if we can swap Cam for an actual NBA player.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I'm at.
I'd like to hold onto the Dallas pick.
But, we'd be ready to go to war with that roster.

This trade is a Durant or Booker major injury away from rebuilding again

Booker is involved with the coaching hiring process. He’s not going anywhere.

Poor Silas really got the rug yanked out from under him.

I prefer to let them get the most they can for KD (which won’t be much)

then when they know they have no shot at winning after the trade go after Booker

There's definitely a lot to be said for that.

Booker should be our priority, but seeing as Durant will come cheap along with him....and fills a need....

LOL. Let's see who else agrees that we should take on Durant and Booker compared to the masses that say hell no

I see visions of Charles Barkley and Scottie Pippen if they do this.

The Suns dumping Durant would mean that the team really blows by the trade deadline. That's when Booker becomes available. If the Rockets keep their powder dry, they can move then. If Giannis is unavailable, this might be the play.
