Sounds like 2022 Cristian Javier, people are quick to forget he was throwing 93 mph middle middle to the best hitters in the world and they couldn’t even pull the trigger to swing
Post-draft AA lineup should be much-improved: Williams Sullivan Baez Cole Bush Guillemette Nunez Ferreras Encarnacion
I rate Ullola's chances to be a stud, whether it be as a starter or a bullpen guy as much higher than 25% with his stuff. But to each his own and you know much more about these prospects than I do. Give Miller a talent like Ullola and he'll turn Ullola into a successful MLB pitcher, whether that be as a starter or as a reliever.
Full-season highlights from tonight - Brice Matthews extended his hit streak to 10 games with an RBI double for Sugar Land. - Alimber Santa threw 3.1 scoreless for Corpus and allowed a hit and an unearned run on a balk. He did not walk or strike out anyone. - Garrett Guillemette hit his 6th home run of the year as Asheville won 6-2 over Winston-Salem. - Cesar Hernandez (8) and Esmil Valencia (2) both homered in Fayetteville's 6-5 win in Augusta. Valencia's home run tied the game in the 9th. Complex league highlights from today - The FCL team was supposed to complete a suspended game and make up a postponed game against the Cardinals, but those games were rained out. - Sami Manzueta went 2-3 and drove in the DSL Blue team's only run in their 8-1 loss to the A's. Manzueta, a 16-year-old from Venezuela who signed on April 21, is currently the youngest player on either DSL Astros roster. - Franchely Silverio hit a two-run homer and a walk-off RBI single to give the DSL Orange team an 8-7 win against the Dodgers' Bautista team. Silverio signed at the start of last year's IFA period and homered one time in 49 games last season, so he's already matched that total in his first game of 2025.
IF Alberto Hernandez has 7 doubles in 89 plate appearances this season. That’s as many as he hit in 271 pa last season. If Hernandez can hit 30+ 2B in a full season he will be a really good prospect. His defensive value is very high (he’s been mentioned by Dana Brown and others as the best defensive infielder in the system), and he’s shown good on base skills (currently sporting 11% bb and 17% k rates). Definitely a player whose stock could rise very quickly.
Kiley McDaniel updated his org top 10 rankings over at espn: Top 10 Prospects RANK NAME POSITION PREVIOUS RANK 1. Jacob Melton CF 2 2. Walker Janek C 3 3. Caden Powell SS NR 4. Anderson Brito RHP 4 5. Luis Baez RF 8 6. Ryan Forcucci RHP 9 7. Brice Matthews 2B 10 8. Shay Whitcomb 3B NR 9. A.J. Blubaugh RHP 6 10. Will Bush C NR Interesting he’s so high on Powell and Bush. Both guys are potential up the middle defenders with plus plus power but significant strikeout concerns. But Bush especially could burst onto the scene with a good showing in AA later this season.
