He is a good coach but not a playoff type coach. You can never go all the way with a short rotation in the big stage

Just saw that. While I get it, pretty ungrateful for what he did to help NY.

JVG improved Clippers' defense a lot this year. Is Tibs willing to come here as an assistant?

The NY Knicks were a good team, but not a world championship team.

KAT got this man fired twice

Seriously though, I think the Knicks starting unit is good enough to win a title, but they need a bench (and a coach who will use it). Playing starters 40 MPG in 2025 won't work.

Let this be a lesson for you Ime fans. You can't defense your way into a championship. You need multiple guys who can create offense for themselves and for others.

I know of the perfect Knicks legend™. [IMG]

    Must’ve been 7-man rotations
Or playing guys too many minutes (Bridges complaining; career complaint everywhere he coaches)
Or defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed despite a defensive minded HC and three 3/D guys.

We need an offensive assistant, not more defense. :D

if you refuse to adapt, failure usually follows. I thought they would at least give him another run.

Be pretty ironic if next year, Knicks exits the playoffs earlier without Tibs.

Hopefully Ime learns from this. Even Jokic realized it the best teams have a large rotation.

it wasnt the offense it was the short rotations that tired their players out. Playing hard defense takes a lot of energy unfortunately Thibs was out there playing 7 man rotations (with 7th dude getting like 10 mins) it wore out their best defenders by the time playoffs arrived.

Thibs is notorious for this he wore out multiple players including Jimmy B, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah. Those Bulls teams always got a high seed and then crumbled in the playoffs.

For the Knicks, IMO their offense was fine, Brunson averaged 29 on 60% TS and KaT averaged 21/11 on 59% TS. Their main guys were unstoppable on offense, just that their defenders ran out of gas so Siakam and Hali outscored them. You can see it in the play of Bridges and Anunoby

    Someplace like Charlotte shouild invest
One of those historically bad teams need to jump on this
He may not get them a championship
    but
will get them out the gutter

    Maybe the Nets

Would not shock me if he returned to the Knicks

I would even say that's likely, except that the East is a dumpster.

If your team wins 50 games it means your coach is amazing.

the Pacers are opposing coach killers

They blew out the Kings in Sacto to boos from the home crowd, then Brown lasted one more game (1 point loss) and was canned.
They beat Denver in Denver and Malone was fired.
They beat Memphis right after the all-star break and Jenkins was soon fired
    Now Thibs.
