Since the asking price has lowered for KD, smaller package, would that be more enticing than giving up a lot for Giannis?
I think KD would represent us not rushing things and developing players like Amen and Sengun into potential stars and maybe even superstars. Definitely comes with the risk that we don't end up developing a true top 15/20 player.

Durant fits our roster much better than Giannis and KD will be much more affordable. If we trade for Giannis, we're likely having to make other moves to make the roster work offensively. KD fits what we need almost perfectly on the court. KD all day.
KD for FVV + #10 + (salary) + Cam + a protected future pick is the limit. Need to have CP3 in the bag. KD and CP3 added to this team while losing FVV and Cam is exactly what this team needs. Past incidents and issues here should not present a problem if the Rockets want to bring him in. CP3/Reed Jalen /Brooks Amen / Tari KD / Bari Sengun / Adams That's a team with almost no holes. KD and CP3 can come in and provide a new lense to evaluate our young talent and help the front office really decide if Jalen/Tari/Jabari/Reed have what it takes to take another step. Amen and Sengun don't need as much guidance. FVV is not a developer, he butted heads with Scottie Barnes and was pushed out.
I like this question. I don't really want either because I think we are one SG upgrade from the next level of our team getting unlocked. But for the sake of the conversation, if a gun were put to my head and I had to choose one I would say KD. Especially if we can do it without giving up much. Maybe Tari and the #10 or FVV that they then opt out and if we can already have a handshake in place to resign him to a longer term contract at a reduced rate. I'm not sure we can even do that, but it would be great if we could. Otherwise I like the suggestion of bringing in CP3 to mentor Reed.
There's no universe where Ime let's Cam start no matter who else is on the roster. However I will amend my previous statement, if KD can be had cheap.... with no one of value going out, then I'm all for it. Like a package of Dillon Brooks and guys like Jock Landale and this year's 10.
Booker wants to be in Phoenix and I just can't see him being moved but I agree. FVV + Jalen + Dillon + Cam + #10 + 2027 FRP unprotected + 2027 swap rights (with brooklyn) + 2029 swap rights (return) for Booker and KD. Booker / Reed Amen Jabari / Tari KD Sengun/ Adams That looks very good.
2 questions. 1) can’t we just get KD for free next season? Can we create enough space to sign him to something like 4yr/$100m. 2) of KD price is low, can we trade for him and Giannis? Assuming kd package is Fred, cam, #10 pick. Giannis would be more like jalen, Sengun or Jabari, tari, picks. need to keep Reed for PG, perhaps sign cp3 for 10 mpg.
KD wants 2 year/$111M extension...we can make that happen by restructuring FVV contract, trade Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green
