Guys, if you haven’t noticed DD is complete trash. Just put him on ignore. The board reads much cleaner after doing so. Keep an eye on his posts, and you will never see him posting anything of quality or even analysis.

Yeah I came to read about Ime and his ability to connect with stars around the league and now I'm thinking about double step-ups in tax basis and long-term capital gains.

    I don't know what's going on. lol

When it comes to Ime's offense, I think you have to look at what he had to work with and it wasn't a whole hell of a lot ....

A point guard who shot poorly much of the season, can't finish at the rim and didn't get in the lane much.

A shooting guard who couldn't shoot half the time.

    Amen - poor shooter.

Sengun - had a terrible year shooting wise - he missed so many bunnies ....

Jabari can't put the ball on the floor ...

Tari has one hand .... and can't hit a freaking layup.

This team is just limited offensively.

And yeah, that's on Stone. But I don't really blame him for the roster imbalance - this past season. I wouldn't have done a whole lot differently (wouldn't have extended Green).
They exceeded expectations .... by a large margin despite the shooting woes.

Next season is a different story, the expectations are higher than a first round exit - no matter the seed.
He has to add some firepower to this offense, they simply cannot run FVV & Jalen out there as the starting guards again. One or the other .... maybe but not both. Someone has to be able to attack the rim AND shoot a decent percentage.

I did read it … did you read my post? Obviously not.

The information in it is wrong and the intent idiotic. I covered not only the millionaire Portion (which was applicable to your comment in the first place) , but also the portion from where nearly 70% of the population of California is at.

Texans do not pay on average more taxes and it’s not close. That was the point of my response. The majority of Texans income wise pay less taxes than they would pay in Cali and the majority of California’s income wise would pay less if they made that same income in Texas. The base information in the article is both outdated and just incorrect to begin with. Fake News.

I didn’t look at every income level, but maybe you can find one or two random cherry picked income levels where it’s slightly less, but then when you add in cost of living, then it means absolutely nothing because that affects the lower income way more than taxes do. Cost-of-living is just another hidden tax from City and State incompetence FYI.

Both the article and your intentions behind the article were both stupid and wrong. Not just wrong, but like the most idiotic kind of wrong you could possibly be.

We are literally the second year removed from tanking..... You and other's expectations for having a finished, competitive roster is just unrealistic. Instead of being happy we overachieved, you and others are complaining and ripping Ime.

Do you then slide FVV to Head Coach?

Correct.... and you do realize they aren't given the same latitude as when we were tanking compared to when we are actually competing.

You are just creating unrealistic expectations and false realities for a team 2 seasons now removed from tanking.

Sure why not? Then just hire some high level assistant for $10mil/yr and fire FVV 2 games into the season. Profit.

Tari was one of 2 Rockets that finished above the 50th percentile at the rim (63.3%), and was 87th percentile in makes at the rim. Tari is only a role player on offense, but his layup skills are not the hold up on the offense.

The Rockets biggest issues on offense are having two nonshooters on the court a lot, and not having an offensive engine. Rockets fix that, and I expect the role players will become more efficient. The role players won't become great, but the players with the highest usage typically drive the offense.

I do, but the goal is not to win 52 games, it is to win a ring, and we are NOT there yet and the players that IME over plays will NEVER be good enough to win a ring, so you have to do a little of both, just like Popovich with Manu and Tony Parker .....you have to develop as you play.

You can't just let them rot on the bench and play guys like Holiday and Tate, you have to also give them minutes as their talent is what got them drafted and you have to nurture it.

Practice is not enough in the NBA as most of the season there is very little actual practice.

We were never going to run a championship or turn into a real contender this or next. Do we have two future HOFs that developed around a Tim Duncan like player? If not.... maybe stop bringing up this unrealistic comparison.

And again... you keep mentioning development when we have one of the youngest rosters in the league and keep dismissing any positive development from Green, Sengun, Amen, Tari, and Bari from the past two years..... Why is that?

Udoka is a very good and successful coach - but agreed, talent at the end of the day rises to the surface and decides winners and losers.

And as a team learn to make a decent percentage of their free throws.

I'm not blaming anybody, this team as currently constructed will never win anything. They're close though. They need to add a guy that can get buckets late in games and another shooter. Trading for Giannis and adding a guy like Knueppel would solve a lot of issues.
