I agree with you that the problem stems from a bad group dynamic. Palestinians are in some toxic relationships that perpetuate a vicious cycle of abuse and violence. Where we likely differ, I believe it is the more powerful party that has primary responsibility for breaking the vicious cycle. In Gaza, that's Israel.
That's why the cycle continues. Never placing accountability on Gazans/Hamas because you think they aren't capable of thinking. The violent crackhead on the corner block is not my responsibility when he continues to break my trust and attack my kids. There was a ceasefire with work permits for Gazans and plenty of opportunity leading up the Nov 7 attacks. But it's never enough. The cycle stops when big brother says enough is enough and severs ties -- in this case by leveling Gaza and any place with Hamas completely. EIther be constructive or be destroyed.
