Oh no, more brain drain @Amiga ! Another useless profession occupied by a liberal woman who can't hack it in the real world, making $1 million a year to falsify data about ethics and behavior to give credence to her own theories.

Academic fraud and dishonesty is a massive problem in the new age "scientific community". We see continued instances of mediocre minds using thier narrative to supercede truth.

Par for the course. Can any IVY league Uni explain why their tuition is higher than ever, some in the Six figure a year range, to keep adding bloated salaries to people who preach nonsense? I've got no issues with $400-500k yr for actual science and medical related departments, but the amount of useless liberal garbage that has taken over means we have to ask... why aren't you dipping into your $34 billion endowment that's run like a hedge fund? to either help students or your useless professors? What exactly is taxpayer money going to? There should be mandatory audits of all universities getting taxpayer money.

Harvard fires Francesca Gino: What it got right in messy academic fraud fight | Vox

Harvard Probe Finds Honesty Researcher Engaged in Scientific Misconduct - WSJ

Harvard Probe Finds Honesty Researcher Engaged in Scientific Misconduct

A newly released document details the university’s investigation into behavioral scientist Francesca Gino, once a star faculty member paid $1 million a year

Scientific fraud is a real problem, one that is chillingly common across academia. But far from putting the university in a bad light, Harvard’s handling of the Gino case has actually been unusually good, even though it still underscores just how much further academia has to go to ensure scientific fraud becomes rare and is reliably caught and punished.

And finally, an older article from the Atlantic about scientific fraud in the academic community.

Did Francesca Gino and Dan Ariely Fabricate Data for the Same Study? - The Atlantic

That you don't get the irony of your post only solidifies my point. We have to cleanse the disease so the healthy parts can thrive. Bill Ackman went to harvard, is a billionaire, yet has been highly critical of what it's devolved into off the back of merit based types like himself. Many other alumni have been vocal

I went to Georgetown decades ago when costs were a fraction of today. It's not the highlight of my life nor do I worship someone for a degree or piece of paper. It doesn't mean anything when it comes to producing results in reality or the private sector where losers like you struggle.. So much so that lying is justified.

Who gives a **** what Bill ackman thinks. Hes a grifting MAGA billionaire who spews conspiracies all day. Harvards science team just discovered last year the most liekly cause of multiple sclerosis and are creating a cure. Harvard medicine has been part of numerous cancer treatments. Their IT department develop3e the first demonstration of a large-scale algorithm execution on an error-corrected quantum computer and the first programmable, logical quantum processor. I sincerely feel sorry for the smart folks in America who have to share their country with MAGATS. Ivy league schools have done more good for American economy than you morons can imagine.

Watching MAGATs go to war with higher education and canceling all student visas is the perfect illustration of American Society. Self imploding by a bunch of brainwashed cultists destroying everything that made America amazing.

This is why people like Bill ackman are getting involved. Fomenting a culture of hatred and resentment to the country that allowed Harvard to thrive is a slap in the face to those that did positive things for the American economy. Or medical breakthroughs. Claudine Gay doesn't belong anywhere near an elite university, yet it remains filled to the brim with those who can't stand on their own 2 feet latching onto the work of the few who can. She wasn't fired after cheating because being a black woman, you can't do that. You have the get rid of the cancer for the body to have a chance at health. It's very clear how toxic and self imploding this ideology is as students cheer on Hamas because they're indoctrinated to think brown man good, white man bad.

    The correction is needed!!

Keep blabbering incoherent non sense. Harvard has accomplished more in the past 4 years than any of your "anti woke" garbage universities have ever accomplished. I guarantee you Bill ackman would get his ass booed and embarrased if he stepped foot on campus. Ackman is the same moron who claimed ABC news rigged the debate for Harris and then killed the whistleblower who tried exposing it. LOL

MAGATS will always be the lowest iq individuals in society. its sincerely a trajedy what you cultists are doing to higher education. The one thing the entire world respects are American universities which is why XI has his daughter attending IVY league schools in America.

MAGATS are destroying everything that made America great. The consequences wont be known for decades to come.

Any dumbass with half a brain understands that Harvard is one of the top universities in the world and people from around the world all fight tooth and nail to get it. Therefore, Harvard can charge whatever they want. They could double their tuition and it would not matter.

For all your anti wokeness b****ing, the fact is that Harvard is still world class in faculty, facilities, student body talent … and having a Harvard degree opens doors. Same with the other top private colleges in the United States. Hence they can charge whatever the hell they want to.

That you struggle to understand this underscores the point I made months ago. You are an idiot.

Not sure why you tagged me here - this has nothing to do with the brain drain I’ve been pointing out. If anything, Harvard firing someone for academic fraud strengthens standards, not weakens them. But I get it - you see someone dishonest get held accountable and assume it's a loss, because you’re used to defending the same type of people in government. That explains the confusion.

Why do you care so much about what slave labor beneficiary Xi thinks? He who lacks no sentient ability? It's a status symbol for rich kids, like Kushner buying his way into Harvard.

Far left radicals like you worship everyone and anyone outside of America... yet never move to places like China or Middle East to live there. You make sure to live in white countries. Why is that?

Your inability to pick up context shows low intelligence. Disappointed.

This is endemic of academia the past few decades... fill the admin staff up to the brim with useless semantical positions that push far left ideology that leech off the actual doers in the hard sciences. This woman was promoting cheating and dishonesty as a way to get ahead and making up facts to support her "thesis". Claudine Gay has the intellect of a middle schooler. But they get paid the big bucks to push agenda's that destroy the integrity of these historically prestigious institutions... which is then passed off as "fact" or "truth".

It's liberals that praise Putin and claim hes a wonderful leader. (TRUMP has done all these things in the past 4 months)

Sincerely stop trying to debate me. You and @El_Conquistador love to get smacked around by me. You aren't smarter than me and you never will be more knowledgeable than me

Why isn't Trump going after his son's private college then? Isn't the University of New York the 2nd most expensive college in the country? It's more expensive than some of the Ivy League schools. Maybe Trump or his son couldn't get into Harvard or some of those Ivy League schools, and that's his real beef. He does retaliate out of anger a lot when he gets butt hurt.

Calling my intelligence into question because I won't validate your confused logic isn't an argument - it's deflection. You're still conflating two separate issues: Harvard firing someone for academic misconduct (which is accountability working) versus U.S. policies driving away legitimate talent. One corrupt individual facing consequences doesn't support your sweeping claims about academia being systemically broken. If you actually want to discuss institutional problems, make coherent connections instead of cherry-picking isolated cases while continuing to make logical gaps. Frankly, you have shown little ability to see through your own blinded generalizations, and what you posted here about endemic academic issues (which may exist, but cherry-picking data isn't the way to show it) isn't at all interesting. If you want to discuss brain drain, go to that thread and engage with actual evidence and logic.

Your obsession with “wokeness” at Harvard illustrates how MAGA actually doesn’t give one crap about actual people. For all your prattling, you haven’t said one thing that puts the slightest dent in Harvard’s well earned status as one of the top universities on the planet.

Yet you remain obsessed with this nonsense instead of ACTUAL issues .. say the quality of public high school education in this country, especially the red states and counties that trail by miles. Or pre K education that would help childhood development and literacy.

You harping on wokeness at Harvard is like complaining that the hot girl has pointy elbows.

Meanwhile, the public education system in this country - especially red states and counties … well, let’s just say that’s the coyote ugly that we should be worried about.
