Yeah I've heard time again that there not a lot of bookers in the league, and with him just now entering his prime I hear they are rebuilding around him. Obviously KD GOne and beal they are stuck with for 1-2 more years and could be salary dump in summer 26.
I’m all onboard with trading for Garland. Young, good 3 pt shooter, efficient scorer, good facilitator. Everything we need. Not sure what it’d take, though.
It's a little tricky since they're a second apron team--can't just pick up Fred's option and ship him over, the Cavs aren't allowed to aggregate salaries or take on more money than they give up. Maybe some kind of three-team deal?
Jaleen + Holiday works cap-wise, but it would ideally be a move for Fred. The Nets are willing to park salary in their cap space for picks. They might serve as a facilitator in a deal involving FVV, though I'm not sure what that would look like.
Fred is ideal in a trade for Durant. Make the deal for Garland if you want. You still can use Fred and a draft pick for Durant and Jalen in another trade if you want.

Look how clean that KD trade looks. So simple. Get to keep everybody. Certified HOF sharpshooter. Minutes for Reed & Cam. It’s beautiful
MIL: Fred VanVleet, Amen Thompson, 10th pick, PHX & DAL 2029 picks PHX: Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, PHX 2027 pick HOU: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant HOU: signs Ty Jerome to full MLE deal PG: Sheppard / Holiday SG: Whitmore / Jerome SF: Durant / Eason PF: Antetokounmpo / Smith C: Sengun / Landale
Yep. That has been floated a couple of times and it makes a ton of sense to me. I don’t really think you need to include Tari though. Landale instead of Tari gives the Suns the luxury tax relief they need (no trade they can do gets them under the 2nd apron) and I really don’t think they can do better than an expiring contract in Fred, a contract they can release immediately, and the 10th pick in the draft. Stone holds all the cards on this one if Durant wants to play for us.
Furious Jam has been advocating against Amen for months. He has a lot of good posts when he isn’t working on his Amen agenda. It’s ok, he’s entitled to his opinion and, at least, he usually isn’t hateful in his responses and its based on his belief that Amen will never be a decent shooter. Amen is the truth and our future superstar.
Yea in above trade i think the suns are only interested in the expiring, so that means FVV, would enter free agency, and if the rockets can get an agreement after Suns waive him, he could sign with Houston Again. Unless some team offers him bag for his services should be able to retain him quickly, because the sun are rebuilding around booker possibly and wont give fvv a contract. Yet i expect they would atleast want Jabari out of the deal, because they know FVV would boomerang back to Houston after released. Smith/Maybe Eason and #10 pick would be package with FVV expiring being in there for salary reasons. This probably a 1 year thing, because i see Durant running somewhere else for last 2 years of his career, probably okc. knicks, lakers etc... Honestly i would not even trade for Durant because hes old and he probably just wants out of the suns, and willing to take a 1 year trip to get where ever he wants to go in free agency.
I say Tari cause suns are probably gonna want at least 1 young guy with Fred and Tari is the one I’m most willing to let go. I still believe Cam can be a solid offensive weapon and think Jabari will turn out better in the coming years. Just one less extension to worry about
I’m ok with it, but I don’t think the Suns are in any position to demand Tari. Durant wants out and that 10th pick is better than anything they are going to get, because of the incoming salary they are going to have to get.
