Is there a message board or particular social media accounts to follow to get "inside information" on the basketball program ? I tried Coogfans and every thread is just random guys feuding with each other.

I have had questions about Miller and his fit - but he is the name I keep hearing from people around the program. They think that he has a chance to really emerge.

It is interesting - because going into last year, a lot of people suspected that there would be a dip in UH performance and post season advancement. As it turned out, that wasn't the case at all. Now - some of that was having older and experienced players coming back and some of that was better health and Uzan improving late in the season.

I can look at this roster for the 2025 and find things to worry about - Cryer and Roberts being the two players that had experience and also scoring to keep there being scoring droughts in key games.

However - Tugler and Uzan should both be better, and I think are potential All Americans. Emanuel Sharp also came on last year and looks like the type of player that can replace Cryer's production.

There are also a number of younger players and talented freshmen.

It is impossible to know how it all will play out - but objectively, I think that UH has the best team going into next season on paper.

Typically teams that have been as well coached, and have some upper classmen and have the type of success that UH has had for years now - eventually break through.

Uzan coming back should make us early title favorites. Very excited to finally have legit 7 footers on this team. Cenac is more of a stretch big which should bode well for the teams spacing and pre-injury Mcfarland had a rep as an elite rim protector.

i'm good with the team too.

never wanted that pop isaacs guy with that weird case hanging over his head. dont need a dude like that here.. although tbh damyean dotson had similar case and that one alabama transfer sampson brought in during those early years had some really weird **** going on with his family. i think it was a kidnapping case involving his mom? was not a fan of that.

according to the two sam houston fans on twitter, the french big we brought over from there is a bit of a diva. can you believe it? a french guy with an attitude?

its cool tho. i think sampson has enough aura to straighten out any of these guys.

Our favorite Nook is about as reliable as most. But he'd tell us he isn't deep in the locker room. I just watch Kelvin give this pressers on youtube they are pretty easy too read between the lines since he tells it like it is on most topics. Go Coogs shows is the best content IMO some inside info every now and then but Galen is the real treat there to me. The Locked On podcast fairly connected but I don't think Parker drops a bunch of inside info unless it's recruiting. No Conference for old men is interesting for game breakdowns. Paper City Mag does decent stories. I'm sure you could follow some of these on X and get some recruiting stuff a little sooner. I gave up X long long time ago. Maybe some of the others here have some better tips.

    Go Coogs.

Ŕothstein doesn't just throw stuff out there. I believe there is significant substance to his post.

Kelvin said late last season in a presser Chase was looking really good. The way it came out was in discussion of Tugler's growth. He was saying to the press 'you guys didn't believe me when I said Jo Jo was going to be a force, now I'm telling you Chase is next'

    Yeah, this was a joke.

Moses and Otis and Hakeem and Chris Morris and Vernon and....all played summer pickup games in June/July in the 90's

Hakeem has a different schedule now.

I'm looking at future drafts, high school prospects, etc. and how they're stacking up, and of course, things can change after a season, but it's crazy to see Cenac being placed as a top-5 to top-8 pick in the NBA draft next year with some putting Harwell as high as a top-7 to top-12 pick, as well. The program is really attracting some high-level talent.

Who are the best HS players in Texas this year?

Not that "Texas" is what matters, Kelvin has been recruiting nationwide

Depends on the site but its either Shelton Henderson or Kingston Flemings
Flemings is our freshman pg and might be the third best player in this UH class.

I try to contain my erection cause with the transfer portal and all, recruiting classes are not as important as they used to be. still, pretty cool.
