She talks a lot and its a bad look. Especially as a reflection of the GM of a billion dollar franchise. Last year she got into it with Roosh online and stuff was implicated and she proceeded to delete her Twitter. Clearly they're leaking stuff but also not being careful about it or caring much about how they're perceived publically. They're low brow people in a high brow world.

"If we could get any first round pick for Jalen without having to take back a bad contract, that would be a win."

yes huge win getting cap space back to use for someone else
why i specifically suggested the nets pick(s) at 14 and later

if we could get 15 and one of hte later firsts and their second for jalen without taking on any salary now all of a sudden we have a plethora of picks and cap flexibility big time would allow us to trade those picks down and into 2026 and still pick up a meaningful piece later in the first hopefully

Huh? Jalen Green would be the equivalent to a Markkanen or Sexton in this trade, not Donovan.

Here is the Utah / Cleveland trade if you need a refresher:
    Cavs in: Donovan

    Utah In:
    Collin Sexton
    Lauri Markkanen
    Ochai Agbaji
    2025 frp
    2026 swap
    2027 frp
    2028 swap
    2029 frp

Green certainly has more trade value than Markkanen or Sexton did at the time of the trade to Utah so depending on who we would be trading for it could save us a pick or two... or net us a better player than Donovan (factoring in the Suns/Nets picks are high value)

Damn, actually kinda like those trades!

    Go from:

    FVV / Reed
    Green / Cam / Holiday
    Brooks / Amen
    Smith / Eason
    Sengun / Adams / Landale

    To

    Amen / Reed
    Poole / Holiday
    Giannis / Brooks
    Smith / Eason
    Sabonis / Adams

Still have 4 of the Core 7.

I had it backwards understanding it then. In this case, Jalen Green is Lauri Markannen? So who are we trading him for to get a Donovan Mitchell type? Devin Booker? Jaylen Brown?

The people who voted we would get a pick in the top half of round 1 are nuts. No team is doing that without us adding something else or taking back some bad salaries or something.

My first preference is to not make any dramatic changes. If we are going to trade Green, which I understand why people would want to trade him and there's a good argument for it, then I wouldn't want to "settle" on an OK deal. I personally do believe Green still has untapped potential and I also believe there's enough GM's that believe it as well or believe they could sell it to their fanbase if he was part of a package with other upside assets (picks for example). I'd prefer to package him + picks / salary in a trade for Giannis, Booker, or another star that becomes available. Stars of Donovan's caliber becomes available surprisingly often and in 6 months who knows what name might pop up that is not talked about now. I do not want Zion, Ja, or Durant though.
