I told you guys, the narrative war was won long ago. Winning the argument is pointless. Talk is useless. We're witnessing that the debate has been over and it doesn't matter, the show goes on. What we've learned is that even if 80% of the world, 60% of the Western world and 99% of the UN calls it a war crime, there seems to be an "invisible" hand that does what it wants anyway. How much more can a political debate be won? That's about as unanimous as it gets for any political debate. There's more support for Palestine than there is for capitalism. There's more support for Palestine than there is for free education. There's more support for Palestine than there is for universal basic income. There's more support for Palestine than there is for being nice to your neighbor. There's more support for Palestine than there is for Kim Kardashian's booty. You understand? There's no 100% and it wouldn't even matter if it were 99.99%, the charade would still continue. This is it. The question you have to actually ask yourself in this story is: what do you do when you fight to win the debate and put pressure and realize that the maximum amount of pressure from most of the world will not change a thing? What happens next? Do you really think this is about 85% rather than 80% support? Or are you going to push like a fascist to brainwash people and make it 100% support? What do you do when the whole world is yelling to stop and they continue to bomb without flinching? Genuinely, what is the next step after that?
Self-defense is not democratically determined. The chances for a free Palestine ended October 7th, 2023. No matter how many people around the world vote against Israel's right to defend itself from Hamas, it doesn't go away. It is over, time to pack up and move on with life in one of the many Arab Muslim countries where they can easily assimilate and live peaceful, prosperous lives.
There is no “right”, in our international law framework, for countries to commit war crimes while calling it “self defense”. And who decides if it is a war crime? Not the country committing the aggression. It is decided via consensus of the international community.
