We can find others.... preferably taller.

As I posted (3 months ago) Mac McClung was my comp for Reed.....well Mac
can't make it in the NBA. And he is killing it this year.

As the video states. Its so hard for an undersized shooting guard to make it in this league.

Payton Prichard has started 17 games in his 4 or 5 year career.
Myself, I don't let a destined career backup (Reed) decide making or breaking a Giannis deal.

Klay Thompson averaged 15 pts on 15 shots. Curry 23 pts on 20 shots in their first playoff appearances. ages 24 and 22.
Some of these idiots would want to blow up that team even if what was waiting 2 seasons later was a championship.
Can't skip the lessons. can't take shortcuts.

Klay's first playoffs (only second year in the league): 43.7%/42.4%/83.3%
Steph first playoffs (fourth year in league): 43.4%/39.6%/92.1%
They won their first playoff series.

X's first playoffs (fourth year in league): 37.2%/29.5%/66.7%

These two situations can't be compared, they aren't similar at all.

one on one means one single player defending an offensive player. A double team means 2 players simultaneously guarding one player like the traps and blitzes we did on Curry or they did to Jalen. If there are 2 players sagging and playing a matchup zone type defense that still is one on one unless one guy comes out and directly help the on ball defender pressure the ball handler. Even any full zone defense has one on one elements. Whether you’re playing 2-3, 3-2, 1-3-1 etc the ball handler is still guarded by one guy unless two players converge to attack the ball handler there is no double. Double team is a very specific term.

The NBA clearly distinguishes double teams. So clearly there are double teams in the NBA.

    NBA Rulebook:
Any defensive player may play any offensive player. The defenders may double-team any player.

    Hoopsstudent.com:
The double team is a defensive tactic that occurs when an offensive player in possession of the basketball receives simultaneous defensive pressure from a primary defender and a secondary defender.

    Hoopstactics.net:
One defender must contain (block the dribbler's path), while the other defender attacks the ball.

It feels more like testing the market than a real 'get him out of here' order.

This is what I don’t understand. As I have said for years neither of these guys are it. Will they be one day? Maybe, maybe not. But forgiving the sins of one player over the other or harshly judging one on every little perceived flaw or deficiency while overlooking for the other is bias and simply unfair. Take the reg season game where he did a ridiculously stupid pass which was an unnecessary behind the back pass late in the 4th that cost us. Many forgave him or overlooked the situation. Ant Edwards had 6 games of scoring less than 10 last year in his 4th year. Jalen has 9 this year (not counting the last 3 of the season)

They both have had off nights or bad games. Both have made terrible errors or bad in game decisions that have cost us. It is only fair to call a spade a spade. I look at decision making. For JG it’s playing timid at times, lack of aggression and passiveness sometimes opting for a long range shot rather than drive. For Sengun it’s missing shooters opting for a shot against 2-3 defenders, poor FT’s, and TO’s. He had 20 games with 4 plus TO’s. 24 games 60% or less FT’s. He hasn’t been a model of excellence that some fans have made him out to be.
