So it seems I'm the only one after all. Personally, while fitting, it feels like the siblings lost. Didn't enjoy Tom becoming CEO or the tech Swiss guy winning. I understand their decision making but felt like I spent 4 seasons watching them lose over nd over to their dad to at the end screw it all up one last time. Fitting? Yes. Disappointing? Absolutely. Waste of character time investment even if that's what most likely would have happened I would rather they win, and then all 3 back to their bickering after scuttling the deal, or just that they screwed up winning because they can't pay for Pierce deal, but let them get 1 significant win as siblings.

Whatever, glad it's done, something doesn't sit well with me about the entire show even though it's great acting and dialogue. Guess it's just not for me.

I think everybody inherently lost. Tom, while CEO, is going to be a patsy... and will likely have to take a ton of **** throughout his tenure, with no actual power of his own. Matson likely will screw things up given his questionable background, already psycho-tendencies with his personal life, and the companies questionable scale/numbers.

And while the siblings stayed true to who they ultimately are, why is it a waste of character time investment? Given that the entire show run is literally only ~2 years in succession time, is that really enough time for characters to change who they are fundamentally? We saw them all at their best and their worst several times over... including characters not part of the immediate family.

They did oversee an election and played a pivotal role in the winner. They did each have mini-wins this season. If they truly got their **** together, the three of them would likely have bene capable of running stuff... but the audience knows deep down that was always highly unlikely.

Tom basically agreed to let the new owner **** his wife.

We were never supposed to root for the kids. They aren't likeable. They are numbskulls with developmental issues stemming from childhood trauma and wealth. Just like the kids of real billionaires. Nobody can relate to people born into billion dollar empires. They're all weird and devoid of talent.

The Roy's are all trash. They're hilarious. And I love them.

Exactly… the best is that they all thought they knew how to run ****…

Which is why I said this kind of show seems pointless to me. They just continue to F up, so what's the point? It's a waste of character time investment when at the end they still end up doing what they always do and there is no redeeming value. I understand why they did it, it's even fitting, but nonetheless I feel like I wasted watching 4 seasons of the show. And yes, 2 years are definitely enough to change who people are fundamentally given the large amount of experiences they were subjected to. Also, I don't think they would manage to hold it together after blocking the buyout, but it would have been fun to watch the 3 siblings get together for once and manage to get things right just a single time after the death of their father.

Once again, I guess needless cruelty bundled with elitism and stupidity are just not my cup of tea, regardless of the great acting and dialogue. I guess I enjoy my shows with a tinge of more possibility and hope but I understand those who actually loved it and don't devalue their opinion. But for me, it's just an unsatisfying way to end the show.

Well, like I said earlier… they’re technically still on the hook to by the Pierce network and run that, so if you’re looking for them to have to get on the same page in the post-script, there you go.

They’re just too idiotic and full of themselves that they likely forgot.

all the siblings are still billionairs. to me that is kind of the point. they win regardless even if they are inept.

It’s all relative. They’ve always been billionaires so nothing really changed from that standpoint. One was expected to be handed the throne, failed and will likely go back to his dark places. One thought he was heading in that direction after being considered a **** up for years… and then he ****ed it up and was back where he started. And the other thought she was smart enough to navigate herself to the top… and will now end up as the pregnant wife of the new CEO.

But hey… Greg did go from vomiting in a carnival character costume to being the worlds highest paid assistant… he’s the true success story of succession!

Greg and Tom scenes were probably the favorite part of the show for me.

Thought the ending sucked. Wasn't into it as much midway through season 2 -- gained steam second half of this season only to fall flat at the end. Thought for sure someone was gonna kill themself at the end there...

I`ve come to realize I never like the ending of just about any series, this one was meh but the series was awesome............writers just don't seem to know how to land the plane at the end. About the only ending I really liked and felt it closed the loop on different stories was Breaking Bad and even that is debatable

Started watching this show (mid season 2) after consciously ignoring it for years. I feel like I accidentally walked into a UnitedHealthGroup upper management meeting and heard some bad stuff. This show is f-ing NUTZ! So, this is what the Trump family is like. lol

It's more based on the Murdoch family, but yeah.
