Those first 26 games we faced NYM (1), SF (3), MIN (2), SEA (12), LAA (29), STL (8), SD (13), TOR (22) and KC (7). The numbers after each team represent their ranking in team FIP. They scored 22 runs in that series against the Angels. Had an unlucky draw with TOR facing Gausman and Bassitt but still scored 15 runs that series while sweeping them. Our guys definitely struggled but have to wonder how much of that was just running into good pitching?
Oh I get it...you're not talking physics here 1B is a wash (hopefully not for long), 3B is a wash (in a good way), we get Yordan (maybe soon!?!) filling the Tucker hole from last year.
- Astros 4 games above .500 (season-high) - Offensive explosion - 10+ runs (curse be damned) - What can Brown do for you is bounce back. A's have been struggling recently but it's been their pitching, not the offense - Altuve is going scorched Earth - Walker stuntin @Tomstro after his slow start .
Whitley's MI ability is huge with LMJ set for 4 innings/start and half the rotation full of umproven starters. Even days when Lance isn't pitching it helps because it saves an arm for future games. Pretty cool having 3-4 guys in the bully capable of 2-3 IP. Future looks bright with offense beginning to do "back of card" things. Hopefully there's a Yordan sighting soon.
