I haven't responded to this thread since page 3 .... where I stated I wouldn't make the swap mainly because of Lamelo's injury history .... and he's out again. I still wouldn't trade Green for Ball - But I would entertain trading Green for "someone else", who that might be is debatable.
If Lamelo could stay healthy I would do it in a second. If jalen continues to chuck I would do it despite Ball's fragile nature.
We need to trade Green etc for Lamelo now. Anyone but Sengun, Tari, Amen and maybe Reed. Pipe dream I know
Trying to speak it into existence I know chances are slim to none but if we throw them so many picks along with the appropriate players without sacrificing our main core maybe they'll bite. Plus better chance for them to tank for Cooper Flagg without Lamelo. As of right now they lost 3 of their 5 starters and their 6th man Tre Mann
I would, You could platoon Melo, with FVV, if fred sign a team friendly deal, like 3 years at 80? Jalen Green, Sheppard, Jock Landale , plus #10 pick should get it done. We could also get back Grant Willams for maybe a extra pick? This will break open the pg spot, giving Melo and Fvv 25 mins a game avg. Let Jabari back into starting rotation Then letting Cam whitemore get more playing time. W Melo ,Brooks,Thompson, Jabari/Willams, Segun FVV, Eason, Grant Willams, Whitemore, Adams. Little bit stronger team imo. Young swap, both player fit time line (23, 25) plus williams has played for Idoka.
Out on Green at 20.....wtf is wrong with you???? DD PS. Meant to poke fun at myself......nothing more.....
