If Sengun could hit bunnies at a decent clip we'd probably be playing the Thunder right now. But yeah I'd take the 3 point shooting Sengun over 31 year old run and dunk man.

What is a 3 point shooting Sengun -- is it like Tesla FSD?

It is the 2nd best center in the league. I have no idea what a Teslas FSD is.

He would probably need to be a dirk level shooter to pass wemby as the 2nd best center

To me Wemby's health risk is too much. Alperen>Wemby this season.

Maybe, but health is the only chance of it happening.

I'd rather Sengun the player actually in Rockets possession, than the player they don't even have

Giannis with a 3pt shot (35-37%) would be a top 25 player ever. That'd probably mean he'd be a better free throw shooter too, where he has league leading attempts. The shot making proficiency of Jokic, with elite defense

I take 22 year old Sengun over near 31 year old Giannis. It would be nice for Sengun to shoot better from deep but it would be MUCH nicer for Amen and Jalen (or his replacement) to get better from deep. I believe Reed will begin getting more and more playing time next year and will be deadly from deep.

I'd much rather have an improved Sengun. He should be a better shooter than he is, but he needs to take it more seriously. His free throw shooting was appalling last season. There's really no excuse for it. If he could get just that worked out it would be a tremendous improvement, add a reliable three point shot to go with it and I'd take him over an older Giannis every time.

I'd rather a SG who can shoot a 3 first.

Guess it depends on how good Sengun's 3P shot became; If it's like Jokic/KAT level then I think it's very clearly Sengun. He'd probably score at least 25ppg in that case. He might not be quite as good as Giannis, but he's 8 years younger and on a much cheaper contract.

If his 3P shot was just barely passable, like around the NBA average for centers, I don't think it would make a massive difference to his scoring. In that case, I think I'd still take Giannis in a 1-for-1, straight-up trade.

The main reason I want to keep Sengun is that every year he develops new aspects to his game. He does have limits, e.g. his foot speed, the length of his arms, the lack of Jokic-level size and strength. And eventually those might cap him off and make a case for trading him. To be honest, I hoped he would add better 3-point shooting last offseason. But let's see if he can do more of that this offseason.

He also needs to develop more inside counters to the way he's being defended as opposing teams "figure him out." But his growth so far has earned my trust. I think he has it in him to keep thinking and learning and outsmarting opponents.

Either way, I would still trade Sengun straight up for Giannis...Its a no-brainer

A 3 point shooting Sengun is an MVP favorite. Giannis is at the end of his productive career.

And then instead of leaving the first round with Sengun we would leave the first round with Giannis and have a smaller window lol Big names arent the thing anymore. You guys are gonna turn us into the Suns you dont even know it.
