Alperen Sengun is the Rockets' franchise player

Tells you that not all Stephen As are the same, the one here cast his for Jalen Green.

 

So that puts Sengun at #16 in the league. Damn his game took a leap this year! Anyone else think he and Amen aren't the future of the franchise?

 

It's funny because outside of Houston, the reliable NBA talking heads see Alperen as someone who is off-limits in terms of trade discussions and is an obvious franchise cornerstone along with Amen. It's within the Houston media base and the idiots outside of Houston who don't deserve the time of day who keep trying to manufacture these BS trade scenarios involving Alperen.

 

I am not sure if they are mostly Houstonians but definitely North Americans that want Green to stay over Alperen.

It’s not all that shocking though. The NBA has been a guards league for 25 years. Even when Yao was battling Shaq that was the end of that era. So it’s not that wild for folks to want to put their chips behind an explosive guard that has shown he has all the skills but just isn’t consistent enough. Obviously there are exceptions to this “guards league” rule, eg Jokic and Embiid.

 

If Green can’t consistently perform a skill, I’d argue he doesn’t really have that skill.

 

Just so we are clear what is the point of your posts? Are you trying to say that Sengun was our problem this year?

I didn't even mention JG in my original post. Just trying to understand what the point for your post was. What's are you trying to say about our best player?

Our entire team is young and developing we overachieved this year. None of them were perfect.
