It’s kind of funny/wild to see cash considerations go from like 10k, 50k, etc….to, what, 90 MILLION, by one team at one deadline? Just insane. Steve Cohen is trying to “sports wash” his lengthy financial crimes/fraud history. Really not a fan of it, him, nor what he’s doing. I think the league will have to deal with it before long — buying out the market and ignoring the tax is one thing, but using it as a mechanism to buy top prospects could be the needle that calls for some type of meaningful reform.
