this is correct. In another thread, I listed most of the starting pg’s in the league and asked folks to tell me which were worst than FVV. Total silence, because they couldn’t. His only value is that he doesn’t turn the ball over very much. I wouldn’t either if my job was to dribble out by the logo for most of the shot clock.

The answer is that there are not many Jason Kidds and Steve Nashes in today's game....a dude that is a floor general and that can drive up an up tempo game

Pretty much the only disappointment for me with Alpi this year is that they ****ed up the all-star format and he barely got to play. He really deserved to get his moment in the spotlight to play around with no defense and get to flex some of his flashier ball skills.

Since the Harden era, the Rockets have adhered to the theory that slower possessions with fewer passes result in fewer turnovers and more shot attempts. Only lately have we added strong rebounding to the mix to get more shots up.

However, this entire philosophy is flawed from the outset. Slower possessions means more shots against set defenses. Fewer passes and player movement means no easy points from defensive mistakes. And don't get me started on why a fast break should be a staple of the offense. See the Pacers.

Cynically, I've often thought that dribbling out the clock on 30% of our possessions is a result of simply not being in shape to run and exert effort as we do on D. Lacking depth or not trusting/developing depth leaves us at a standstill.

The Eastern final has two of them: Haliburton and Brunson.

More all star votes than Kawhi is one thing. More All NBA votes than Kawhi is a whole different level. Congratulations.

But in all seriousness top 20 in All NBA voting is recognition of a pretty good year even if he didn’t make the final cut.

Sengun was 1 spot away from All-NBA 3rd team.

Thunder has 2 players on it and are currently spanking the Wolves.. it just puts in picture how far we are from actual contention.

um, you think we’re far from having two All NBA players? Amen and Sengun would like a word.

Sengun lost his touch on offense this season. He missed so many easy shots in the paint. I hardly saw his offense magic this season.

I think Sengun isn't selected as All NBA Team mostly because of himself not good enough.

Probably, he would be in if the voting was made a week ago. Haliburton had nothing to do with all nba teams before the post season.

That's great young man. But get in 1000 quick release shots a day as well.

He would have a LOT more triple doubles if his teammates could hit open shots.
