so if FVV or JG or Brooks miss a 3 and Adams or Amen or Alpi rebounds it and scores… we shouldn’t be concerned about their efficiency because the possession ended in a score …. Got it!

so as the best offensive rebounding team in league we were also the most efficient in your eyes

Still building up with this group. Nobody is getting traded.

Even the Spurs are not going to trade for Giannis. Trade Price Tag is ridiculous along with his expensive salary.

This is new era basketball, Super Teams with expensive Contracts don't work anymore. Build Up thos Core and keep adding Depth.

Honestly yes. Why would it matter since we scored? Everything should be based on a possession. You have to normalize stats for them to make sense.

I literally work in data analytics and this is what we have to do every day. You don't just look at the raw numbers cus you get false positives.

First rule of negotiation: create the impression that you have better alternatives. If Giannis asks out publicly there goes your leverage.

“Yes Giannis, we will trade u to your destination of choice, but we need you to play along so we can get a return we can sell to our fans. So for now, you are happy here. Give us a list of teams and we’ll update u on our progress in a month.”

Could be another round of Giannis forcing the Bucks to sign players ....but deep inside he wants his family to stay.

Giannis is no Harden, if he retired today he would still retire a 1x Champion.

He ain't as desperate as the media made him to be and he is still just blackmailing the Bucks to do more.

I wish someone would blackmail the Rockets to have more urgency at times.

Start by moving off Sengun. That’s your opening volley. Maybe it buys you some goodwill in Milwaukee, maybe it doesn't, but it gets the conversation going. After that, the real trick is holding on to the pieces that matter. The glue guys and winning vets.

Cam Whitmore? You can move him. He’s not even cracking the rotation. That tells you something right there.

If you’re lucky, the picks don’t hurt too much. But let’s be honest, Sengun’s value? It’s probably not what the crowd here wants to believe. There's hype and then there's market value. And those ain't always the same thing.

I'd be worried about our defense with both Tari and Brooks gone

Brooks been not so great - his lateral movement is gone … Amen playing more would lessen losing Tari

There's no point in making the trade if you lose your best player in the trade.

The issues with a Giannis trade is that it's an "all in" type move where you are giving up the future to try and win within the 3 or 4 years GIannis has left. That's an issue for a team that has the least efficient scoring backcourt in the entire league because Giannis has no range at all....and neither do the top 2 players on the Rockets in Sengun and Amen.

I don't see a way around one of them being moved which makes the deal not worth it because honestly, that should be the 2 untouchables on the roster.

On top of that, you'd want to move Brooks, FVV, and Jalen and bring in guys who are more efficient scorers to provide spacing.

You'd be doing all of this for a low odds brief window. I'd much rather just build around Amen and Sengun.

I concur and they’re holding on to Amen Thompson for that very reason. Plain and simple, he’s their crown jewel.

Giannis is not just better than Sengun, he’s in a completely different universe.

And yeah, I get it. Trading Sengun will be an embarrassing punch to the gut for his fans. But this is Giannis, one of the three best basketball players on the planet. When a player like that is on the table, you don't hesitate. You pull the trigger.

No, the crown jewel would be Sengun, but Amen is right behind him. Both are untouchable. Sengun is only 6 months older than Amen and already a few votes shy of being All NBA....he's on a HOF trajectory.

Giannis is a player who derives 100% of his NBA ability from freak athleticism and he's over 30. If we had an aging team full of sharpshooters for him to step in and help win a ring, then it would be worth it.

It's not worth it for a young team full of guys who can't shoot. You'd just be sacrificing the future to win nothing and end up being back in tank mode 5 years from now or less.

Look, I get it. Sengun’s your guy and you’ve gotta have his back. But honestly, this just isn’t how the Rockets see it. The evidence is pretty clear: Amen is the only one they won’t budge on. Everything else? Up for grabs at the right price.
