He’s had a 2.5 year layoff. It’s gonna most likely take some time. Can’t just write him off after 4 starts. velocity yada yada he might just suck for 10 or so starts. It’s a good time to let him get stretched out and settled in. He’s no more of an embarrassment than Christian Walker at this point .
Pitchers regularly come back from long layoffs and don’t suck. Verlander came back after TJ and look at the season he had… And yeah Walker sucks too.
Snake has been placed on the 15 IL with physical discomfort. He is considered day to day. We’ll see you in 2028 Snake.
And pitchers regularly do as well. Lance has missed 2.5 years. That’s a bit longer than most layoffs. Also, he missed the first 4.5 months of 2022. Basically missed 17 of the last 19 baseball months. That’s not a normal TJ layoff.
logan is just 1 of their aces. mariners have a bunch of guys where they can pitch a shutout into the 6th inning.
Expecting him to suddenly get back to form or even become an above average starter is foolish. Maybe that’s not what you meant but it sounded like that’s what you were saying… Given the state of our rotation right now though, he’ll get more starts to prove otherwise than he probably should.
