Amazing and well deserved. In only his 2nd year. Maybe some might not fully realize how special this is. The only other NBA player to get NBA All-Defensive First Team in just their 2nd year was Tim Duncan. Rodman was 3rd year. Kawhi was 4th year. Timmy is often in the mix when people try to list the top ten NBA defenders of all time. And us old Houston-proud Rockets fans know darn well who is often cited as the best NBA defender of all time...Hakeem Olajuwon. Amen is the best defender we’ve seen in Rockets Red since THE DREAM! Kid is special. Bright future for the Rockets with this young star on our team.

We’ve got a special one. Sengun with his first All Star game in his 4th season and Amen with his first All-Defensive team selection in just his 2nd season. They’re both only 22. Hold onto these guys; go out and find the pieces around them. The future is bright.

Wemby made the all-defensive first team as a rookie and Evan Mobley made it as a sophomore. It's a special achievement but not quite as rare recently as you might think.
