This is why it's so important to not leave the draft lottery to chance. This doesn't happen without Wembanyama. Come on now, imagine if they had Brandon Miller? Now they have the #2 pick which probably gets them Giannis. You could call it chance if you want to, but I see planning in all of this luck.
The Spurs' success is actually the single biggest argument against the draft lottery being rigged. There's no way the NBA would deliberately funnel three generational players to San Antonio.
I bet the Admiral David Robinson one was pure luck just like Yao Ming.... The Duncan one and the Lockout after that .. that was suspect....... A lockout championship .....much like the Bubble Championship. And from the Duncan era they built up their global scouting program.....too successful to be true.
We all knew San Antonio was getting Wembanyama. They had the history, the infrastructure, and the French connections. It was a sound business decision to send him there. Now it's paying off to the tune of a $4 billion stadium that is probably funded by the city and will increase the value of the franchise and of the league as a whole. Why leave his future to chance? It would be stupid to do that b
Looks like Highway 37 is going underground in that picture. Houston is planning to put 59/I45 underground...with a 2045 or so completion date.
