if you were the nets gm what would you do with their cap space

in my opinion how the nets use their cap space has a lot to do with how other players trade values wind up

there are several team that want to escape the repeater tax and the the first and second aprons

there are not hardly any teams with cap space for free agents other than the nets and the pistons

what is the best player that could be moved into their cap without draft pick compensation going to the nets

what salaries would the nets trade their late round picks for

Any Free Agents worth a sh*t this year?
    Who is disgruntled?

They should be a part of every big trade

My guess is that the Nets will provide cap space in return for picks, build their team up for a couple of years through the draft and then go after big moves.

We need the Nets to take the long road. No shortcuts, no big signings, no splashy trades. Just slow, steady, methodical team-building. Because if they do that then by 2027, that swap with the Rockets? It could be gold.

I have a feeling the Nets might set themselves up as 'swappers' on draft night, use some of their cap space then.

    4 players under contract (Claxton/ Johnson/ Clowney/ Whitehead)
Team options/ NG contracts, assuming let go of Timme and Maxwell Lewis and keep Keon Johnson, Jalen Wilson and Tyrese Martin.
    That's 7 players.
Lock in on the cap-holds of Cam Thomas and Day'Ron Sharpe so they can match.
Add the 4 first round guaranteed rookie contracts
They are now at 13 players with $55M in cap space.

They could use that space on draft day to be absorbing contracts in exchange for a pick (eg. Take on Porzingis from the Celtics or Grayson Allen from the Suns in return for pick #27 - they could then be granted a 2026 or onwards first rounder in exchange for helping the team duck the 2nd apron).
