That was just about the worst possible top of the inning. Rodgers swings at three straight pitches out of the strike zone to strike out. Dubon gets on base again so **** head Espada will want to play Dubon next game claiming he is hitting well. Then Pena grounds into a double play. Great job... at least we have Altuve up next inning, he is heating up ....
Bagwell would be good as a base running coach... I would want Yuli brought back to teach this team fielding fundamentals...
Hey - if it were up to me, I would go dig up Whitey Herzog or Earl Weaver and prop them up in the dugout and see how long before the players figured out that something was off.
After careful consideration, I have decided to accept the manager position if offered. I'm retired, have nothing else to do. Plus, I really like the chopped baked potatoes at the ballpark.
When you have a high caliber pitcher. You use him as such. This pitch calling is truly hard to watch. Treating Hunter today like he is Zach Greinke(Astros version) ain’t it.
Bagwell is a great teacher of various things, but he's admitted that there was a whole lot of stuff he was great at that you just can't teach. His comments reminded me of Ted Williams' stint as a manager. Not sure what style of manager he'd make.
